MCD XR5 track setup

Could someone please post some basic setup for an XR5 Max on road race track set up. I know every track is different but looking for basics of an asphalt medium grip track in dry conditions:-
Ride height front / rear
Tyres compound
Springs/shock oil/droop
Camber/toe
Any help appreciated šŸ˜€
 
From Maher of cardinal racing when I asked about setting up my xr5 , run the car first out of the box and then adjust it... run Rm front and Rs in the rear for tires if the track is medium to low grip.
 
Check out the ā€œMCD XR5 Franceā€ FB group. These guys are spoiled with 1/5th scale tracks all over the place and they race a lot. Usually with the short wheel base, but not a bad area to ask questions.

Saw this on one of the posts (set up for on road dry conditions)

I just bash with my XR5, but still like to play with setups.

Not sure what set up tools you have, but I asked Maher and he confirmed the Baja set up tools work with the MCD. Iā€™m about to order those and also the carbon set up discs.

Iā€™ve seen BoneHead RC has these but theyā€™re just one size, These are sold out, but they have different heights to factor in for different size wheels for the on-road and off-road wheels.

You need adapters for the integy kit, the adapters that thread onto the wheel hexes do not fit and I can confirm because they didn't fit mine as the threads are not the right pitch.

Thanks for letting me know, for some reason I thought theyā€™d fit without the adapters.

Were you happy using the adapters with the set up tools overall? Or would you suggest something different?
 
I like the setup station for setting toe mostly but Camber is just as easy and less things you need to buy.

These are the adapters I'm taking about, you would have to contact bluegroove about purchasing those. I believe them to be the same thread pitch for the xr5 but hopefully @crucialRC will chime in.1000007198.jpg

Ah gotcha. @crucialRC how come when I tried using threading them onto the mcd they wouldn't go past about where the oring is? I even took them out thinking they were causing the threads to bind.

Come to think of it the doux uses fg square drive tires don't they? šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Yeah the adapters in the pic are for duox and fg. Not sure which true adapters Rob bought and used to make those. Maybe he used Losi adapters. Hence the reason the adapters won't fit on the MCD as well.
