Well here it goes,

On my dune runner chassis sides I plan to glue some sort of mesh on insides.

Hopefully this will prevent big dirt from coming to the motor, center diffs, etc.

Now I have few choices and would like to get feedback from you guys.

1) Get some metal mesh and tape it with double-side tape

Cons: double-side tape might not hold well

2) Get some metal mesh but weld it to the chassis

Cons: Mesh will be welded to chassis permanently

3) Get some cheap cotton mesh and double tape it

Cons: Cotton might tear but should hold well with double-side tape

Hey Danspd,

I used the plastic heavy duty window/door screen material (the kind that is for keeping dogs claws from tearing it). I just used some nylon ties where I could and put bolts through different parts where items attached to the chassis (I have an hpi Baja, but same idea).

that's life and that for in the future is how RedCat goes :)

I am supporting #2

permanent solutions :)

I used one of the plastic folders from Walmart, cost a buck and is big enough to do it multiple times. I used 3M double side foam tape to secure it to the chassis. Heres some pics on my old Baja:

Since pipeous mentioned semi permanent weld I will go with it I guess.

@Obeast:

Looks good, good choice for plan B

Anyway thanks everyone. Thread can be closed

If anyone else might be looking for some metal mesh like this, I use this place a lot:

http://www.bwire.com/

They usually have the best price that I can find on the internet, and always reliable quality and shipping.

Just an FYI for anyone else that might be looking for this stuff.
