1/5 SCALE SUPER SERIES AT MILESTONE RC PARK IN RIVERSIDE
OFF ROAD AND DIRT OVAL RACING ALL IN ONE DAY

FIRST RACE OF THE THREE RACE SERIES STARTS THIS SATURDAY NOVEMBER 7TH
FRIDAY OFF ROAD PRACTICE 4PM TO 8PM
PRACTICE IS FREE IF YOU SIGN UP TO RACE ON FRIDAY-IF NOT PRACTICE FEE IS $15

SATURDAY - GATES OPEN AT 8AM TRACK OPENS FOR PRACTICE
DRIVERS MEETING 9:30AM QUALIFIERS 10AM
CLASSES 5B, 5T AND 4 WHEEL DRIVE
ENTRY FEE IS $30 FOR EACH OFF ROAD CLASS and $25 FOR THE OVAL CLASS.
TROPHIES FOR TOP THREE IN ALL A MAIN CLASSES
SEVERAL SPONSORS ARE BEING FINALIZED THIS WEEK FOR THE SERIES AND THE NATIONALS
SPONSORSHIPS STILL AVAILABLE FOR THIS SERIES AND FOR THE TRACK
RULES – 5B MUST RUN 5B TIRES-5T MUST RUN 5T TIRES-ANY SIZE ENGINE

DIRT OVAL RACING WILL BEGIN AFTER OFF ROAD IS DONE
APPROXIMATELY 3 TO 4PM
TRACK IS COMPLETELY SEPARATE FROM THE OFF ROAD.
IT IS BANKED AND HAS OVER A 400 FOOT RUN LINE. BIG AND FAST
CLASSES PENDING, DEPENDS ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES
WE WILL PROBABLY HAVE A 5B CLASS AND A 1/4 SCALE CLASS.
ENTRY FEE - $25
POINTS WILL BE CALCULATED SEPARATE FROM OFF ROAD FOR THE THREE RACE SERIES.
OVAL RULES – WHAT RULES?
BOTH SERIES WILL HAVE ONE THROW OUT.
BOTH SERIES REQUIRE ROAR MEMBERSHIP.

Monday through Friday the tracks will be Closed due to the lights, we are working very hard to improve the lighting so we can have week night practice

Saturday Open Practice both Tracks 8-6

Sunday Open Practice both Tracks 8-4

Practice fee is per Driver
1/5 & 1/4 Scale Practice is $15
1/10 & 1/8 Scale Practice is $10
Regardless of how many cars per driver

MILESTONE 11-7-09 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The sun rose to a beautiful day for racing and did we ever race.

Off Road 1/5 Scale Baja Buggys and Trucks on the recently improved big, bad , fast track.

The racing was close, exciting, with a great crowd of spectators due to two Motocross races going on.

Action on the track had the usual crashes, flips and wheel to wheel battles.

In only his fourth Baja race John Quintero from Long Beach was the man to beat in the 5B class. His wife and kids were there to cheer him to his first victory.

Another strong finisher was Dale Frischknecht with his first podium finish and Tom Strong only 2.3 seconds behind Dale in third.

In the 5T class it was John Rijos, hometown Riverside racer got out front on the second lap and never looked back. Gordon Phillips in his first race of Baja competition finished second and Reggie Thompson also in his first Baja race finished third.

After the Off Road portion of this Super Series race day was finished we moved over to the awesome Dirt Oval. The track crew, Nick, Aaron and Jeff worked all day and the track was perfect. As the sun set and the moisture came up for an old dirt track racer it doesn’t get any better than this. Yes, we did have lights utilizing two 4000 watt light towers.

Apparently the Baja guys felt the same way as the competition was fierce with cars flying. Great racing and a great show for the spectators.

The benchmark has been set for lap times. In competition Nick Rangel, yes our own Nick who works his butt off at the track, turned a 9.448. This was in spite of hitting every other car and anything else that got in his way and getting his car run over by a few competitors as well. John Quintero ran 9.541 and yours truly did 9.590.

We ran three 35 lap segments and the overall winner was John Quintero. Who is this John Quintero? Won one of the Off Road qualifiers, Off Road 5B Main and now the Dirt oval Main?

Milestone Super Series 12/5/09

The Final Race of the “Milestone Super Series” was a really good one. We had six new racers join us for the first time Thomas Smith, Ryan Brown, Dan Silagy, Matt Skurka, Christopher Nelson, and Jesse McLellan. Rick Linn and his 5B were back with us and made his presence known by finishing first and second in his qualifiers, but then sadly broke in the main.

It ended with Jesse Rodriguez first, John Quintero second and Dale Frischknecht third. Congratulations to these three as they also finished the series in the same order. Jesse will receive a free entry to the Nationals, John a $25 parts certificate and Dale a $10 parts certificate from Quarter Scale Motor Sports.

In the 5T main Joe O’Neill did a great job of harnessing the notorious “O’Neill Bros” power to take the win. John Rijos took second and Adam Hudson took third. The 5T Series Podium finishers were John Rijos first who will receive a free entry to the Nationals. Adam Hudson second with a $25 parts certificate and Colin Lockwood third with a $10 parts certificate from Quarter Scale Motor Sports.

Our first dirt oval series was a “Kick in Pants” The guys are getting a hang of this real quick. Slide by slide at full throttle through the turn is real exciting. They were all asking when are we going to do it again?!! Look for more on the 2010 schedule.

The finish was John Quintero first, Dale Frischknecht second and new comer Austin Heideman in third. The Series winners were John Quintero first with a free Nationals entry, Dale Frischknecht second with a $25 parts certificate and Bob Johnson third with a $10 parts certificate from QuarterScale Motorsports. Look forward to more of you joining the”round d round” boys in 2010.

Milestone-RC Park this week February 1- 7, 2010

Saturday the 1/10 and 1/8 scale track and 1/5 scale track will be open for practice from 8 am – 5 pm

Sunday the 1/10 and 1/8 scale track and 1/5 scale track will be open for practice from 8 am- 4 pm

Come out and run our new 1/10 and 1/8 scale track built by Joey Christensen for the short course championships held last weekend!!!


The Practice fee is $15 for 1/5 scale and $10 for 1/10 and 1/8 scale

We now have power to the pit tables.

Great News- Milestone RC Park in Riverside CA has a new Electric/ Nitro Track built by the well respected track builder, Joey Christensen.
Our first event was the short course RC track championships presented by Joey Christensen and all 100 racers loved the new design.
Our schedule for Electric/ Nitro racing will be released soon. In the meantime come out on the weekends for a day of fun only $10 for all day practice. Call track hotline 909-887-9771 for details
