Get a 28.5cc headkit from Rob $75

Get a 77DOM from Sprint77 $2-beans

Get your TT from Rampagehopups.com (Rob  ) and you get a free upgrade kit and some MCD gears.

You can do what I did and just let Rob know you're a newbie  and he has everything you need so he can ship "everything" together and you can do your mods first thing and be trouble free......till you hit the dreaded "immovable" object

A stock 28.5 runs real nice. You don't have to get a race ported engine for this car to run great.

The 77DOM from Sprint77 only runs on an MT I believe and will be exposed on a TT. The guys that have it can tell you for sure. The DDM Side Dominator, TGN pipe, and Jetpro are awesome if you want a side pipe. If you want a rear pipe you can go with the XCan or HPI hi flow can that comes with the 5T but will lose some top end performance. One of our guys here, Basher, is running an MCD Jetpro rear pipe. Sprint77 can also mod HPI SS pipes and a Mielke side pipe for the Rampage.

which supplier?

Go with RampageHopups. The owner runs the forum and has been of great help to us Rampage owners. You will also get a free upgrade kit and gears if you order from them.

I run a TT and with a 26 Zen 4 bolt and it works well. I run a RDlogics pipe with a Sprint77 modded header pipe and as for as who to do business with RampageHopups is who I deal with on all my rampage related items

the 28.5 is a great "in the middle" motor. anything more and you'll lose top end and have to regear(wich is fun!!). i went with the black side dom(python $154) and i got everything else from rob. make sure you have a decant radio to set your servo end points. its not as important with the nitro's but with 5th scale its a must.. its really important that you set some time aside to do all the pre-run stuff. its really tempting to just thro gas in it, but with out doing that carefully you risk an un-satisfiying first run. to do everything it took me about 6 hrs the first time. its really enjoyable. kinda like getting a kit, but seing it built first.. there is a sticky here, but i have my own list of things that i did that is pretty spacific. if you think you might miss something just pm me

I run the stock 23cc with 28.5 head kit futaba pk3 jetpro pipe for mcd Ohh don't forget axle adapters for hpi rims and tires no tire options from redcat
