MK1 Escort

Just in the throws of completing a MK1 escort.....progress so far.


First coat to the RETRO RACING (can't get them anymore) shell.


Second and third coat....


And final coat.The colour is RC orange even though it looks yellow


And the chassis I will be using.I dug this one out of a box of vintage I had,its a HPI RS4 sport chassis with a few mods and poopy electrics(shows how old it is!)



And here is the shell roughly cur and a mock mount to the chassis...



Next is a decaled and joined shell that needs detailing and more sanding.I bought a set of RS alloy wheels and MINILITES that were made for this shell...


I had the MEXICO decals custom cut for added scale...


And the back...

They're cool! It's a great shape the mk1. Always liked the lancia stratos shell that was available years ago, can't seem to find them anymore.. (Probably coz I've not looked hard enough)
