1. Has anyone tried cutting the springs to adjust the shocks on the GT5R? I looking a FG springs (red and Yellow) but I don't have a part #. Also looking into buying a shock kit and I don't know what to look for.

2. Should I cut holes in the body (cut out windows) for air to pass through?

3. Is this a good screw kit?

4. What kind of tire upgrade should I get?

5. Is anyone running a 2 speed, if so what kind?

Any feed back will be appreciated. :w00t:

I would think for on road you would want them stiff. Are they weak?

You shouldn't have to cut holes in the window. The motor has a built in fan with the flywheel.

They are not weak. The ride height is off and adjusting them seem way off. It sits lower in the back so when turning the front tires come off the ground. I was thanking cut them down some will give me some play to adjusting the height.

the springs are too long for sure. you can't get the front low enough. I can't remember the outside size off hand. http://www.fgsupply.com/Shocks_Springs_oils-Springs.html but measure the size of the shock body and go from there.

fg alloy shocks are very nice for an option. if you can trim about 10ml off the top of the nutech shock body they are perfect then. I run a truck so not being able to bottom out doesn't bother me.

same site has a good deal for grp tires. soft and/or extra soft rears. I like to have a couple tire choices for the rear to keep traction depending on track temps.

sorry I don't hit the forums as often as I used to.
