I've recently got myself into a second hand DBXL 1.0 and instantly got a couple Zenoah g320 motors for it in place of the original Dynamite 23cc. One of the g320's I will be going full mod in order to better understand these motors and till up my yard, and the other will remain relatively stock other than a pipe. Won't be racing or anything, but it might make a few laps at the paved oval I race at during intermission. Who knows?
I've gotten a parts list going at DDM and would like a second opinion on if everything looks good and works well together. I'll also gladly take input on anything additional for the motor or the DBXL platform itself, as this is my first gasser and 5th scale. I race 1/7 scale electrics and have a ton of 1/8 truggies.
So obviously, I've got the g320 but in my possession, I've also got..
-8k clutch springs
-DDM Dominator pipe
-DDM velocity stack
-DT1 filter
-.005 copper cylinder gasket
In my shopping cart, I've got the following being heavily considered..
-TR/OBR billet transfer port covers
-ESP high-rev piston
-+2mm stroker crank
-ESP modded head kit to accomodate stroker crank
I plan on port matching the head and lightening the flywheel a bit. And also milling down the crankcase to accomodate the stroker crank.
Not exactly sure what the transfer port covers do yet, but I read they're good for ~1\2hp. Also, not exactly sure if I should do anything with the carb, of if the stock g320 carb is sufficient?
Sooo, does this all look like a decent build, or am I going wrong somewhere? Is there something in here thats not worth the time and money? From my understanding, it looks solid, but I'd definitely like a second opinion.
Any idea what kind of power this build would be making?
Unrelated, but I'm also looking for battery recommendations to run my electronics, aswell as a decent upgraded driveshaft set AND tires.
Thanks in advance! And as I stated, any and all input is appreciated!
