Howdy dudes

I was looking at a few ad's on fleebay and certain internet shops and noticed they were selling different than standard clutches? Whats the difference in these? I know in a few of the cars I had they were running paddle clutches and such like but as i say how do you modify a centrifugal clutch?:confused:

Mooman you are refering to the zenoah & Cy clutch's..and yes you are correct..
Now the LB clutch has 2 shoe,3 shoe & 4 shoe design...you can get different springs
for those as well...for rpm engagement...think up too 8,000 rpm range...
the shoes used will determan the springs used....
Same for the Elcon clutch.....

I could use a little more info... Paddle clutches, are you referring to 1/1 cars or scale? I guess I am :confused: confused???

He means real cars when he says a paddle clutch, a solid racing clutch with no springs in the plate....killer to drive street with :D
 
Not wrong there Ducks,need a leg like Arnie! Had one in my MK 1 Mexico and my Sti Scoob and you needed to be pretty switched on to drive them,as to the reference to the 8000RPM springs does the engine rev higher or lower to take off?

The engine has to rev higher with the 8000rpm springs, normal engagement is around the 6-7K mark.
 
I think the standard spring is fine, but the 8000rpm spring can be brought from most places, Hobbythek, MMR, SB Racing etc. :)
 
I have 8000rpm springs in my fg lorry & car and they do take a while to get use to but when the tires are warm it makes the car very responsive & elminates any lag from stand still but I use a standard spring in my marder so I would recomend high rpm clutch for onroad & standard clutch for offroad m8
