serious question.

I can't see why it wouldn't work.

so, has anyone tried using the control circuit from a broken servo to simply drive a relay in place of the motor?

I would believe that using two diodes could also allow you to use two relays, one being switched for the "forward" position, and one for the "reverse" position..

just seeing if anything has tried it.

I'll try it something, but I'm a tight ass, and all my servos still work, even though they are rubbish.. lol

thanks!

YES it does work, I used one with twin relays on my Clod Buster for indicators, many many years ago.
Just make sure the output shaft trimpot is dead centre or you could burn the board.
Also,, keep the filter capacitors in place or the rest of the servo's will glitch like a female dog!!!

the output trimpot can simply be replaced with two resistors.

maybe I'll try for a remote start/remote kill for my truck :)

anyone can use a search engine as well as I ;)

and you're welcome hehe

took me 20 minutes or more to find it, and I had to register on the forum to be able to use the seach!

hmph!!

now to try and attach as 12volt cordless drill motor and gearbox to the engine... haha

does an 11.1 volt lipo pack sound like a reasonable starter battery? ;)
can anyone recommend a cheapo ebay one?

thanks!

depends on what your going to use for a motor. for starting a motor its gonna pull a fair bit of amperage, so look for the highest c rating you can find
