well i installed the pipe i installed the carb, i installed the clutch springs, i installed a K&N filter with a machined spigot of my own creation. well all i can say is Holy Poop does this thing haul, it comes out of corners like seabisquit and out of the whole like john force..... not bad redcat i am impressed, a few mods and it becomes a contender.

for a 30lb plus truck it sure is impresive. now for some mild tunning and i should be able to squeze a tad bit more out of it.

i love this truck... way better than a nitro truck hands down.

Deluge is right quadfather-- remove the K-N and put it in a bright light and look into it. you will see pinholes of light. this will wear out your new truck quickly. even the mist from running on a wet dirty paved road will find its way into the engine. get a foam filter.

Here is the deal with the K-N. A foam filter in a desert race will eventually plug up with dirt until the engine dies from lack of air, and still will not pass dirt. The K-N will keep on running and finish the race. As the K-N loads up with dirt this dry dust-dirt pulls the oil off the filter and passes dirt into the engine. Before Outerwares -racers put a single stage foam filter around the K-N. they would pull the foam off and proceed racing-or toss on another outer foam. When a K-N is drying out from the dust wicking the oil out of the filter and there is no time to clean it- you have a aerosol can of K-N filter oil and spray on top of the dirty filter- right on to the dust-dirt. Race teams overhaul engines nearly every race anyways--- hammer down to the finish line----I am talking about full sized race trucks-buggies here. Agan- ditch the K-N and use a foam filter- 2 stage. outerwares is optional.

i do have the foam one on order, i put the k&n on to look at my masterpiece creation, we wont have dust here for 3 months. it is -20

although i agree and disagree with some of the statments in regards to the K&N filter i will not comment on them.

sheesh did i mention the truck goes like hell.......

Yes the hy engine can be made to run very good. In all fairness to the good folks at K-N-- Chrylser -under Lee Iacola Built the M-1 A-1 Abrams tank-It has a turbine engine. They were having all kinds of issues with dust-dirt. K-N steped up to the plate and invented a complex air-flo intake, this in combanation with the K-N filter saved the Abrams fron the scrap yard. Did you know that a Abrams can go 80 mph and shoot the cannon at the same time? H-E-A-V-Y METAL!! more accuretly- heavy dropped Uranium steel!!
