Nope, considering the skirt on the stock motor is just 38mm it would make it hard to stuff a 44mm sized just down in there.

the skirt on the piston or the cyl head? cause you could always skim 6mm or 0.236in off. will the bolt pattern line up?

The skirt on the cylinder is 38mm, thats the size of the opening on the crankcase as well. It would take some SERIOUS machine work to get it on there.

after looking at the crankcase of the cy engine, there is lots of meet there to machine out the 6mm. but what I really need to know is what is the piston stroke and will the bolt pattern line up?

For one the head you are showing is a 4 bolt, and your CY crank case is a 2 bolt, but i know they make CY 4 bolts, I hope it works that would be pretty bad ass (but Im really doubtful it would work)

The bolt pattern of the CY and HY 23cc through 30.5 engines are to small to bolt on the 47cc head. the 47cc engines are 50mm from head bolt to head bolt here's a pic of a HY 26cc head with a scale.

here's a pic of the 47cc pocket bike engine they are a 4 bolt head i measured from the center of the bolts and it is 50mm

i hope this helps

hey racetruck, thanks that helps alot. but i'm still thinking that if the 2 bolt holes on the 47cc head can be slotted to fit the cy crankcase, will 2 bolts hold the head or would the crankcase need to have 2 extra holes drilled & tapped?

the 47 is to big to seal on a cy theres not enough meat on them to mate up plan on just getting the 47 complete and put it in the redcat rampage

WOW:eek: ...makes the 47cc conversion that I was taking about look like a stock 23cc. lol But that's genius, making an adaptor for the head to bolt onto the crankcase. the possibilities are endless :D

The 62cc Latemodel belongs to John Schultz of HPI, Not Tony's. Tony had his MCD V4, 5t, & 5b there. Look for his review of his new V4 in this months RCDriver magazine. That 62cc Latemodel is CRAZY powerful. I want to drive it ! LOL. Like that will happen
