Hitec 805 MG Dimensions are: 2.59 x 1.18 x 2.26

HS-7980TH Dimensions are: 1.72 x 0.88 x 1.57

A standard side servo like the 7545 is: 1.57 x 0.78 x 1.45

So it's sized more toward a standard servo than a quarter scale servo like we use.

Will it fit if I Modify it?

Well considering the torque ratio on the 7980 (500/611) which is a HUGE selling point for me, is there still a possibilty that it will fit if properly modified? The last thing I want is to have too much play around the servo for it to be flopping around.

i would look into quarter scale servos. dual 5745 or 805bbs are more than enough to swing the tires on a mt. even though the 7980 has more torque i think the weight of a 1/5 scale is going to beat the crap out a standard size servo. i had a 7980 on my baja for the t/b servo with a front brake kit. its great if you don't have room for a larger heavy duty servo, but since you do i would use it

High Torque Servo

So what is the best replacement High Torque Servo For the XT Truck ???
Trigger,

I just found a good deal on Servo City for the HS-7980, however the size is the issue. I'm in the process of modifying the space where the original stock steering servo sits and replace with the 7980. I only hope I can get it to fit in there, because the torque ratio (500/611) should have no problems moving those heavy tires.
