Question for you guys.. I ran my truck a few months ago and in the middle of a bash session the motor started to idle really crazy... Really high idle.. So I adjusted the needles and couldnt get it to run smooth anymore.. Then it got to the point where the truck wouldnt start at all..

Now My carb wont prime anymore. When I puch on the primer I see it blowing pressure in the tank but no gas will return through the line...My question is how do You know when a carb is bad? Whats wrong with my truck?

Sounds like you have hole probably in the black fuel line. Will cause it to stall a lot and eventually not start as you are getting air in and no fuel pressure

I thought that coulda been the problem.. But when I pulled the carb out gas shot out of the black line as if the carb is clogged somewhere between the inlet and the primer bulb. Is this possible? Also can it be repaired?

There are several posts on this forum about cleaning carburettors, replacing seals, etc.,
I'd suggest to check out the other posts, then possibly get a replacement seal kit for the carb.
Walbro 813's are on offer at Dave's right now - don't forget the discount code LSF for an extra 5% discount!
Warning: Some people don't like the 813. Mine works fine.

Bought a new carb installed it and still no luck. I even replaced the plug. The carb seems to be in working order.. It fine primes good and everything. It seems to like fuel isnt making it to the spark.. What could it be?

The fuel lines are on correctly. Any more suggestions?

Have you check if you have a good compression, bas compression can cause hard starting.
Check for spark, have you try to manually put some gas directly in the carb to see if it burn it?
I'm really not expert but you have some check to do.

most likely as rad-1 says there, the head has moved a little making compression non existant in the cylinder.

take off coil, bolt back on the head with some locktite and space the coil with a light buisness card (google to see what size)

then you should be good to go,make sure you use a new spark plug
and change carb as stated also, pipe needs to be on nice and tight too.

So remove the head and retighten?
Space the coil...

Im confused anyone have a link for this?

From what i can see my fuel isnt gettin to my plug. Its in the carb but the fuel seems to stop there...

Could the the head being off center cause a fuel issue?

Ok guys got the head off and the headgasket was blown to pieces... This may have something to do with my issue...

Im looking at copper head gaskets.. What thickness should I get?

Thanks to You guys... Any suggestions on which thickness to get....

No experience on this one.
Please fill in your location - User CP section - but judging by your name I'm guessing you're in USA.
Give DDM a telephone call and see what they advise - won't go wrong with them, even if you don't purchase, they're always keen to help.
Good advice goes a long way ...
