not like anyone would really care anyway but i felt i would go ahead and post this seeing as my folk live in sierra vista and it is where i am from :(. people are being evacuated and it is 17% contained but it was believed to have been human caused. fires in teh area are nothing new actually becasue the illegals coming across teh border use campfires but this time it has gotten out of hand.

i do to, my sister has been evacuated already and my dad is packing but they are going to lose everything, a gas station i used to buy pizza at exploded this morning and the bar a couple blocks away is as of yet not touched.
 
that is true. i just heard they believed the fire was started by illegals but it is as of yet unconfirmed although begin from that area i can say that it is most likely what happened, once on an ftx to ft huachuca we got up one morning to find a group of illegals with a camp fire going cooking their breakfast and when they were finished they walked off and left the fire burning :mad:
 
I am very sorry for that area - must be very disconcerting particularly if you live there.

Personally, I don't understand how using a hand-held mobile 'phone is illegal, yet smoking isn't - far MORE dangerous, especially if the window's open, and the odd cinder falls ... anywhere, or the cig itself. This fire could easily have been set off by someone flinging a near-finished cigarette. ...

That's my rant ..

Very sorry for the damage caused and I hope it can be fully contained quickly.

got a text from my dadyesterday, he hasnt responded because he was evacuated and is now in a shelter. but his ouse was in the danger zone and he doesn't expect to have anything left to go back to :(
