Got to love plastic.....cost less.....what a waste of good money on a Rc car....
You should be able to save the rose joints...few tid bits....there worth a few coins...
I like the metal rose joints over the plastic ones.....Slaw

That was a HARD hit.
Is that yours J. ?

Hard hit is an understatement:omg: I have never seen the A + B bulkeads twisted before! Chassis is twisted! and the throttle sevro is bust, the servo saver post is U/S as well, radio tray gone and a couple of hinge pins are bent.
But on the bright side I have years of experience with metal so the twists will be taken out and the radio tray will be straightened and I have more servos than you can shake a stick at! Watch this space ;)

Those marders look pretty cool, I was always thinking about getting one for a buggy, alas I also wanted a 4WD buggy and got the MCD instead.

Let's do a contest and see who can guess how Voo2doo's marder's chassis got so bent.

I say the guy he bought it from hit the wall WOT!!! :scooter:

Chris

bent

I think he,as you said Chris, hit something WOT or a runaway!
Well heres the result, just used a few tools in the workshop and a sheet of glass to level.
There are a few vice marks on there because I couldn't find my rubber jaws but they will buff out .I'll have them so you can see your face in them....SHINY !

Much better!! if you don't get them completely straight, just say the glass or the straight edge is bent LOL

Chris

There as straight as I can get them by eye.I mic'ed them up and they are pretty good. Here are the chassis results.

Oh,if the garden looks like a fun fair its all down to my spoiled kids;) In the process of extending the back garden. Whatever they ask for! I know its going to bite me back as well.
And

Good job James. They look dam straight to me. I mean it's not like it's an F1 on smooth pavement so even a slight tweak won't be noticed in off road.

did you heat the metal when straightening it out?

Ouch for them. Good to hear you straightened it out. There is a front brace to stiffen it that you could buy to straighten it more and get it tougher.

Got the front brace BTB its just not in the pic,it will go back on tough.Just fired the engine up....SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!
No,Pipe, couldn't heat it up it would have lost its temper( no emotional temper) I think its T6 ally, just done it the old fashioned way with half a brick and a big stick!:clown:

Hiya ,can anyone verify that this is the correct way the front end goes back together? It didn't look right when it was taken apart.
Thanks.
