Hi guys, I am in NZ and could not find a killer bee anywhere here so last night ordered one from DDM along with a Hitec 645. Prob take a few weeks to get here. Was playing with the xt in the back garden tonight and the throttle seveo gets a mind of its own and went full throttle. Luck I managed to hold it up and hit the kill button. Could have been nasty. Question: will the 645 drop straight in? How hard is the killer bee to fit? I have no previous experence with RC cars so am learning all the time. I have a new Futaba 3003, could this be a tempory fix till the 645 comes? Thanks for any advice. alan

The 645 will drop right in.

The killer bee is an easy install. Just plug and play.

I would just wait until your order gets to you. I don't recommend running any gasser with out a kill switch.

I've ordered parts from Ddm to Australia and very good service with generally fast shipping. I would be surprised that you will wait 3 weeks. Hope you get it sorted.

Yep, the 645 drops right in. The kill switch is an easy install, just plug in a few wires and you're done. The Futaba 3003 has nylon gears, so it's not going to last long on a 5th scale.

Here's a wire routing diagram for the kill switch, it shows a Baja, but it's basically the same for a Rampage.

Killer RC Wire Routing Diagram

Here are some wiring diagrams for 2 and 3 channel systems. These show V1, V2 and V2S kill switches, but don't pay any attention to that. The SuperBee is basically all of the previous kill switches in one package, so it wires up the same way as previous versions.

And here are the instructions for the SuperBee.

Just don't make the mistake of over tightening your ignition coil and breaking the bolt. ;-) I got royally screwed with that one. In hindsight I would've installed the Killer switch with the coil on. You might just have to get some thin pliers to pull the wire off the coil.

Why did you take your coil out??? I didn't need to on mine

Thanks for the advice. DDM tell me that the servo and the super bee are on there way, so will wait rather than risk the other servo.
