Most you would pay for a Baja 5t?

Ok guys the wife might let me get a Baja 5t as a late christmas present :D so I'm wondering what is the most I should pay for a 5 month old used Baja 5t with some minor up grades? I was gonna go cheap,and just get a king motors T1000 truck which basically looks like the same truck except it comes with a bigger engine out of the box. Anyway How much should the max be for a used 5t, thanks guys. Merry christmas!!
 
If it were stock you shouldn't have to pay any more than $450 tops.
They have dropped a lot in price.
 
Theres two lines of thought on this, how bad do you want one and are there lots for sale. The two come hand in hand regarding price, if there not many around and you cant wait then the price will be high. If there are lots then haggle and you will get on cheep.

A brand new 5T in the UK sell for around the £850 mark, prob about $1300. If its second hand and in mint con then i'd say take 20% off, If its in Good con then take 30/40% off, If its in a bashed state then take 50/60% off..IMO

but in the end its down to how bad you want that particular 5T..
 
The max id go would be a £1.000 but it would have to be mega upgraded
with the best upgrades on the market!

Saying that ive spent over a grand in hop ups about a month ago for my build

I can't see why anyone would want to build a baja and spend mega bucks on it,when you can get a losi 5ive and have lots of fun running it.

To answer your question... Price and power. You can also buy Baja without spending mega bucks on it, and have lots of fun running it. I drove a Losi today. Nice truck yes. Handles incredibly well. Slightly overpriced IMO, and WAY under powered. Did I say way under powered? It really is. It needs more bottom end and more top end. My 5B is the early 23cc version and it's still faster than the Losi. And I'm a Losi guy. I grew up racing Losi stadium trucks (Jrxt, xxt, xxxt) and currently have about 7 different Losi's of all different flavors. So I really wanted to love that 5iveT and have nothing but good things to say about it.

If I had the cash, I'd pick up a Losi, and either do a full brushless conversion (check them out on youtube, they're crazy fast), or a built 30.5cc. Both of those options would be quite expensive though.
