I'm going to replace the front steering knuckles and the rear hubs then pretty much mothball my KM until warmer temperatures arrive in the spring. I feel there is not much sense in making plastic more brittle in sub-freezing temps that will only result in more breakage. Come spring I will replace all the other plastic parts with billet aluminum on an as broken basis.

dwarfy has a point. At least you will know which parts are the weaker ones.
Thats the one negative on not having quality control. The plastics can be so diffrerent from day to day depending on how hot or cold they are heating them or mixing them or what toys they are melting down to make them.

Steering knuckles and rear hubs will be in tomorrow via snail mail. I received the axle boots and 3mm SS bead lock screws. It seems the original 2.5mm screws don't ever tighten up in the HPI rims. After they are installed, the mothballing will begin after maybe one more run.

sounds like what I'm doing, didn't have it a week before I needed a new body, had it 1 day before I had to replace a rear shock tower, I've had it 2 weeks now and I finally got to run it saturday for about 15 minutes before it got too cold to stand out there
