Motor droping RPM'S

Ok guys just put new pipe on. Notice the other day that it would only hit top rpm's for a few seconds. It was like the sevo was letting off. Just ran it on the stand (checked the servo seem to be fine held at wide opened didn't move or let off). hit top rmp's but it was like it was dieing down once at top RPM's. Is it fule or something else rve's up good then drops the RPM's not a lot just maybe a 100 or 200 rmp's.

Try adjusting the carb. you have 3 screws on the carb. One adjusts the idle (big screw on bottom), one screw adjusts low idle (little screw towards the motor) and the screw I think you want is the top end screw (the one facing the front of the truck). turn it out 1/4 of a turn and see how that works for you.

It does sound like tuning. To me it sounds like you are describing top end bog. That is fixed by leaning it out. Do small adjustments and watch your plug color. To lean it you will be turning the needle screw in.

In a 2 stroke engine would air restriction cause a bog?

Yes. But that usually only happens when your air filter is dirty, or clogged with filter oil.
