Grrrr just finished about £500 worth of hop ups (everything other then the engine) got her running sweet put two tanks through her down on the beach/dunes.... Anyway cutting a long story short she got jealous and wanted to have a drive and I said no she got moody so I finally let her..... Within 3 mins it ended up on the sea about 5m away from her!!!!!

So basically it was floating everything is soaked, so I've disconnected the power transmitter all wires etc, turned upside down remove spark plug air filter used a 300ml can of WD40 all over it to buy me time till Saturday (2 days) until I can strip her down fully!

Would anyone else Recomend anything, I pretty much know daily waters the worse on anything let alone water in the engine causing it to seize?

Many thanks

I can recommend a good divorce lawyer,he has worked for me on my two wives:lol::lol::lol:

One a serious note...whip the engine and elecs out and wash the whole lot down with drinking/tap water. This will get shut of all the salt.Dry and lightly oil EVERTHING METAL!
I would myself pull the mill apart and do a nut and bolt rebuild, again washing all down with water, drying all components and oiling everything lightly.
Take all cases off your electrics and dry them out ( I personally would bin the lot as I wouldn't trust them) TEST,TEST,TEST,if you are going to use them again.
Good luck and let us know.
J;)

Well I'd go get me a brand new car and say the old one could not be fixed
After I made here fill guilty and got I'm sorry for tarring up your car sex
But that may be the reason I'm single [emoji12]

Hahaha what a brilliant idea, I made her walk a mile home whilst I drove the van home slowly in front of her:')

I had planned to travel 3 hours this weekend to for my first race/bash with other cars looks like that's off the cards now :(

Still worse case I'll make her buy me a Scott finaly motor :D

Cheers J that is my plan to do a complete rebuild washing down with fresh tap water.... Just put a bloody super bee V2 on to as that's shot :( binning all electrics and hopefully the rest hopefully will be okay!

I'll let you know Sunday night after spending all weekend tearing her apart and rebuilding lol how it goes !

Shouldn't laugh at others' misfortune, but you've made me laugh for the first time in a couple of weeks - sorry for that mate!!

I would definitely value family over personal belongings .... perhaps that's me.

Cleaning - it's all been said.
Bin it? - don't be silly - get it running again - call it a project, that's why it is a hobby, not a commuting car.

Well finally got her stripped down ..... The car not the Mrs lol to every last nut bolt and clip so I have my self a fresh start (bare in mined I only done this 4 tanks ago and changed all gaskets for DDM copper and diff oils etc spent a fortune on parts and hours on labour).

She's not looking to good don't know where to start so here goes;

Bearings all knackered need replacing (tried soaking in hot water to get rid of salt for 15 mins then WD-40 over night letting dry today then a good coating again and still no luck)

Front center and rear diffs need rebuilding again oil gone really bitty and dual colour

Gaskets have gone like crisps where salts dried them out need replacing

Piston and head have very small scratches inside them so will have to get a very fine wet and dry and try my best didn't look to bad but I now the smallest mark can have big impact.....

Screws on shell and roll cage have gone funny even with WD-40 on then some have acted like lock tight

Exhaust rusting inside but soaked over night in oil after washing through with fresh water

Shocks gone very stiff washed with fresh water and oiled they seem to be okay

Coil has to be replacesd

Pull starter ropes gone hard (would trust it needs replacing)

Spark plug needs replacing

Fuel lines and fuel tank had to be flushed through

Air filter is okay

Engine has to be rebuild from scratch crank shaft seems okay

Gearing and clutch seems okay.

And much more grrrrr so annoying as I said earlier only ran 4 tanks through her since a nut and bolt rebuild!!!!!!!

Basically moral of the story if don't let women drive.

Oh and keep your car away from salt water as its 100x more worst then normal water.lol

On the + side I got an amazing curry washed down with a pint brought by her and to finish off an amazing blowey haha so not all bad!

Don't sell the car to cheep work it share your feelings with her about your bad dreams your having
And cry out at night in bed O god my car it's ruined [emoji24][emoji56][emoji12]
Are you alright baby I thought both you and the car were in the water [emoji48]
Make sure you don't say I wish it was you in the ocean
I would that's why I'm divorced [emoji457]
