I've an FG Monster, and my body's not amazing, so my plan is to replace it quite soon.
Obviously I've the choice of FG bodies, and even the F150 stadium?

Zielke have some amazing paint jobs, but I was wondering if there is a list of which bodies will actually fit the FG MT - stock and alternatives?
Perhaps realistic-looking car bodies - that can take a couple of falls?

Best is if the body's either dyed the colour , or it's painted on the inside - I want to avoid external paint where possible.
The Mustange would have been nice, if the proportions were closer, but it looks way too out-of-proportion for me.

Can anyone help here please?
Will the HPI 5T fit, or way too big?

I had the same issues last year, i tore up my Hummer body real bad and wanted something different.

I ended up with a beetle body and under tray, on roll overs 9/10 times it lands back on its wheels, as the whole body is curved.
Not sure if this any help but just my 2 cents

Don't get me wrong, I think the FG bodies are great - the detail and proportions are good.
I like the idea of the slightly opened window on the Beetle, as a realistic and practical touch - cooling - also.
A beetle could be something great, painted white, with blue and red stripes and # 53, but that's just it ... ORIGINALITY!
Maybe it's me not having enough imagination.

I would be interested in ideas please.

The New Bright bodies - F150, CXT and Dodge Ram are great, but I don't think they're made for a 40-50mph 15kg RC beast!! :nono:

Have a look in the market area at the fibreglass bodies. I just got mine from sickboy and not much more than a lexan one. it's gel coat so color is in the fibreglass. it looks great. I was up all night wrenching so just woke up, but will be taking pics after I get some coffee into me

I cant wait to start hearing about how the fiberglass beetle bodies work out for buyers. The ones sickboy is making. I will buy one of those up to replace my MT body. No painting, a bit heavier but strong from what I hear.:2guns:

There is also the Chevy body for the MT.

Great.
I'm a British Monster Jam nut, so the Chevy is interesting also.

I may have made a mistake in my comments on the Mustang and Challenger - I found a site showing the Mustang IN PROPORTION.

Does anyone have any more details on the dimensions of these, whether they would fit the FG MT or be too exposed, should one get a little 'enthusiastic' ?

I'm pushing Zielke for ideas, but never get any replies, as if 'you can see what we do, it's what we advertise; you don't like it, go somewhere else'.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but an odd reply would be appreciated to a potential customer.

Other bodies. As BtB implies, with the truck already 15kg, and huge relative power / torque, an additional 300-500g isn't going to make THAT much difference - we're not talking F1 here!!

I still have to take pics of my vw, got sidetracked building a car for someone and it is sitting. That said, I am an auto detailer by trade and the finish on these is amazing. very few imperfections at all, mostly mold lines. the detail around the windows and body lines is phenominal. and the vw weighs less than my semi body which is lexan. Just waiting for my other paints to arrive so I can do some airbrushing on it. and being fibreglass, the roof scoop makes a durable carry handle. I just ordered an mt body and carbon wing for the vw...

I had one of the challenger bodies, on road, which I sold to a friend with the car it was going on. it is made very well and looks great.

hi :)

Ive al;ways wanted to fit an FG ST shell to my MB Pro, jus think it will look sexeh with a ST shell with the bigfoot tires! ..but forking out jus short of a £100 for it not to work or look right put me off the idea, i may get a fibreglass one & try it out with that though, to what ive hearsd it will fit but i will need to trim a fiar bit away from the front as the ST tires are much smaller compared to the bigfoot tires.

posted some pics of mine on a topic i just did, feel free to have a gander, remember sometimes simple is best!! :D

What is available looks great - that Bug is fine - needs to be white, blue&white stripe and #53 ...
The Mustang and Challenger are superbly detailed bodies, but just cannot be considered for an MT - need to be one scale smaller at least. Sorry, perhaps its my opinion.
I'm swinging back to an original paint job on another FG Monster body ... we'll see!!
If anyone's any other ideas, please give a couple of photos. A body on one of these Monsters is a major investment - or outlay at least!

I replied to you with no returned answers from you. I see this has happened many times in the fall and my website emails for some reason didnt either get to me or were not sent without me know that of failure to deliver, sorry but everything is fixed. Anyway, let me know if you every need anything.

I'm sorted for now, with a 'Blue Thunder lookalike' version of the FG F150 body.
Great paint job. More for 'shelf queen' than bashing!

Will probably need something in the next year unless I can tame my throttle finger A LOT :clown::blush::clown:

The paint jobs you show are superb, but I was looking for something more specific. I did send quite a few mails, for as you mention, no reply. No worries.

Body shell for FG.

there is a limit on choice for these trucks. if you have the FG MT obviously all the FG body shells will fit your truck (MT) providing you change around the up rights on the roll cages, the off road beetle 4x4 will fit the MT if you change the front up right with the rear one,the smartec/carson gas devil can fit the FG but like its own chassis looks odd as the wheel arches don't quite match up and i hate little things like that.the hpi baja would look silly if you fitted it to the MT but everyone has their own choice what looks cool and not !!
i am sure the MCD shells would work with shaving and cutting.on the custom body shells painted, because they cost a few bob i doubt i would use it to bash !! rather than use them for photo shoots and things like that.:clown:

keep me up to date with the fibre glass shells, was thinking of doing the same by taking mould off my body shell.should be a cost effective and i am sure if you worked out your over heads you could supply your fellow mud bashers..

That's the one.
Have a word with Caci. He'll possibly be able to do a King Crunch shell for you.
The Blue Thunder onw I've got is awesome - great paint job.
After last weekend's excursion, it's for the shelf queen part of it's life - my throttle finger's too leaden!!
