hey,i was wondering if there where any tricks to keep the cv axle pin from walking out i have one that comes out everytime i run this monster i have done red loctite and it still comes out any ideas :)

i used some heatsrink tubing(electrical wrap) and never had any problems scince, put a layer of insolating tape, or duck tape round first to give the heatsrink better grip

i also converted some heatsrink tubing into a a dust cover aswell as to hold the cv pin in, ill post a picture in an hour or so (dosnt look as good as a propper boot, but does the job)

sounds good thank you:)

The locktite should work. Make sure the axel and adapter are clean. Make sure the locktite can dry over night.

+1. I had the same issue and ordered a new set off of RCDAD. I put Loctite on it and haven't had that issue ever sense.

Another thing you can do is switch to the dog bone style. The CVD axles seem to be a bad design and everyone that ive read went back to the dog bones.

thank you i may have to do that it is only one front axle that is doing it the dogbones will work on the front without popping out?thank you

I welded my pins into the hub and removed the grub screws its like having a cvd.been using this set up since Nov. And had no problems.u just gotta grind the welds good so it doesn't hang up.i tried heat shrink it works sometimes it likes to come off though.i found this works well for me.hope that answers your question.

Try it out.people tell Im screwed when i got to replace my axle or dog bones.if u lose your pins your screwed anyway .also i saw little cracks in my axles where the pin sits.welding took care of the problems.plus its only $25 for axles and dog bones.you will be happy when your running instead of lookin for a pin you'll never find..lol..
