You can, but there is not telling how long your plastic gear will last.

The metal will cause it to wear very quickly.

Use it at your own discretion.
 
Yeah, as long as it'll work, will only be using it until the metal gears I ordered today come in, I hate having downtime with my trucks!

ive been running A.Plastic B.Metal C.Platic D.Metal gears for over a year now and they all still look brand new! no wear on them wat so ever!!

(some 1 on this forum gave me the tip)

running a combo of plastic and metal gears is the only way (for me), it helps keep the temps down a bit, keeps noise down a bit and if anything goes wrong in the drivetrain youll have a weak link and you should only shredd 1 gear instead of 2.

I'm back in action now!!! Thanks guys!!! Just waiting for my obr engine and taller gears.... Fun!!!
