If your going to make a spacer. You could make one out of a strip of square aluminum rod. Drill an extra set of holes and leave it bolted to the chassis. Makes reinstalling the engine easier. Python Motorsports to the left sells one.

im thinking of making it out of stainless steel square bar 8mm or 10mm, but im also thinking that might be to hard for the chassis and crankcase, what do you think? (i don't want to burr the the base of my new engine right away)

i would like to order a python mount, but i don't think its worth his time for a $6 order posted to the uk :(

there used to be billit mounts on ebay, but i cant find them now, probs sold out

Go with 10mm. You could use some electrical tape between the mount and the engine. That'll help prevent wear.

noticed just now, it bolts onto the fan shroud, so im not so bothered now if it burrs that.

here it is made it from 10mm stainless bar, im going to get the holes drilled at work tomorrow, then tidy up the edges and polish it
