Hiya fellas, took the MT and Beetle out again the other day and mashed the pinion on the MT:blush: Now,what I need to know is that if I use a 18T steel instead of the original 16T plastic how do I mesh the gears up? If the pinion is bigger that means do I have to lower the spur gear down to compensate mesh ?
And if so what to?
Can I still use the standard 48T spur plus the 18T pinion? Is there a way like in meshing 10th scale cars gears to pull the engine back to syncronise the gears?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
J.

As you can't change the engine meshing between the spur and pinion you're forced to run either 48/16 or 46/18 :) The engine can only be pulled back to mesh the lay shaft and differential gears.
