Hello, anyone with the MT or MT Pro with Redcat's Tuned Pipe can you tell me if your having problems with the pipe melting the truck body?

Thanks,

Lenny7118

I can tell you your not alone. That pipe is close to the body and will melt it. The pipe itself can melt also. It's aluminum and gets really soft if you run a full tank through none stop. Sounds like ya need an upgrade. :)

1+ yes the body will melt you can stop the body from melting with aluminium tape on the inside of the body and yes all of the redcat tuned pipe are crap they get too soft when running hard and break easily.

What about those X Can's any good ? and if I put on the 6" stingers on will that clear the rear of the body and also will it be touching the body. I can't figure it out because my MT Pro is on its way to me , just ordered it a few days ago.

The Xcans are okay they will not give you the great power increase as the other pipes mentioned even with the extended stingers it will be touching the body from the back but you can just cut you a notch from the back so the body wont touch. I would still use the aluminium tape for any pipe that you use that's inside the body because anytime you run hard alot of heat will warp the body.

i like the look and fit of the chrome ddm. i think thats what im going to go with. my old mt pro melted the body all over the place

its either you want all the alum hop up parts with the pro, or you don't with the regular mt... I love my pro but then again I stole it for $450... I don't think I'd ever pay full price for it... I'd just go with another regualr MT...

The mt pro is more of a shelf queen. It has almost every aluminum hop-up already installed. It is the same truck though.
