mt rear differential on a xt

the gear case is same, the diff box is different , so all mounts on outside of MT diff box is different than XB , but contents are the same.
 
Gears all same ,they are interchangeable(except for straight cut) , the diff box (what u see on the outside) is not
 
the out drives are not interchangeable, just found out the hard way, I bought my XB used and I guess the previous owner mangled the front end on it and one of the outdrives was replaced with an MT one and low and behold it doesn't site right, it pushes the dogbone out to far and the camber couldn't be adjusted, went to move it to the back since there isn't that much camber needed and it simply just binds and restricts the control arm movement.

the internals though are all the same
