Anyone running the MT with the new FG Baja wheels? Looking for pics and performance results. I'm assuming I would have to change the spur/pinion. Just not sure of the ride height and how adjustable that was. Maybe a new pair of shocks?

Are they? I'm assuming the body being mounted so low onto the frame makes it appear to be much lower. I was thinking about making my MT into a ST with buggy wheels. But, when I start to add things together: wheels $180, 4wd kit $400, Gears $100, Body $100, new Pipe $180... I may as well just go buy a darn buggy!

Now, do I jump into the Comp model??? Or stick to plastic and upgrade as needed???

Yes, they are the exact same model except for the body mount, body, tires, rims, gearing and exhaust pipe length.

I am not sure the FGMT needs to be completely alloy to be a good basher. Ya, I've upgraded some items to alloy but, I didn't break them 1st. I just wanted them.

Ya, same with me. I haven't done any alloy upgrades to my MT. I think I'll go with the plastic 4WD Baja and be done with it. Should be a good basher. The MT is just too bulky at time.

The fun part of getting a standard model is hunting for deals and upgrading when it breaks. I can say, I don't think I will ever need to change out my plastic front arms unless I smash into something. They can take a beating and are real tough.

I agree! All I have ever had was a screw come loose... Wait a second...That's the second time I typed that and it still doesn't sound right..

My name is Trip and I have a screw loose!

The stock plastics are very strong!

alloy is good for some parts and plastic is good for some parts .
i sold my whole alloy front end as i was due to have my 4wd conversion kit come in 3 weeks ago . seems it hasnt shown up yet i decided to put all of my stock plastic parts on so i could still have fun .. and iv gotta say i like the plastic much more .. MORE forgiving when flipping - more flex . its great .
