I suppose you can remove them, but I prefer the approach I had - Kold Kutter screws into the tyres - truck is plain mental!
Ask Pablo and Hyperpete.
Cannot use on tarmac, but neither can you use the chains.
 
Idea for snowchains is great but i prefer Cold cutter...they better choice...But you need one tyreset for cutters but on chains you can use same tyres with or with out the chains.I have used same kind of chains on real car but they are not good solution if they are used toomuch,they scrub the tyre pieces on offroad use
