I couldn't make up my mind whether to stick to mwb or change to lwb.. But I want to keep the viper shell and am planning the Porsche gt3 rsr shell for the car so il stick with mwb (510/515mm) There's loads of lwb chassis on eBay but no mwb.. I found new ones on German eBay for a decent price new.. But trying not to let the spending get out of control... If anyone has one gathering dust or knows a man who knows the man who does... I'm keeping an eye out! Also looking for carbon airfilter... There like gold dust used!

Hoping to get oddified engine next week so every penny help keep the spiralling cost down!!!

speak to mark grant at contrast he has got another used carbon filter but needs a little quick fix he offered it to me but i had the other one he had as the new one i was after is out of stock from his supplers for a good 2 weeks,,,so he offered me a used one for half the price so happy days ask him when you get your engine from him tell him barry said about it and im sure he will hook you up mate he might beable to help with the chassis but i think your going to have problems getting one of them now
 
Yeah I did ask about an air filter from mark but il remind him when I get in touch about the engine..

Problems in what way mate? I know there's little chance getting a bargain used chassis. but if it comes down to it il just have to get a new one (theres got to be one out there somewhere)... New one was 186 euro... I might still opt for the long wheel but I always planned getting a Porsche body before I realised they didn't fit lwb.
 
i just think there not as common as the lwb due to them not being raced as much they all seem to race the lwb cars as there more stable although i agree with you the porcshes look ace and would love one but another fg in the house would get me killed or divorced for sure
 
Haha.. I did think about another car lwb so I can have both but that's just crazy talk!!... Or is it? The chassis on eBay is 202.80 euro... £160.84 in real money, it's at the bottom of the list at the moment.. But it is on the list... Think they make a big difference in rigidity.. Can see the stock chassis flex..

If I see one second hand il snap it up.. Fingers crossed!
 
mate even the 8mm comp chassis on mine flexed untill i fitted the m&r racing top deck brace which again only fits the lwb cars id stick with the stock chassis and spend the money on other things like power and any other parts you want,plus if you spent that sort of money on a brand new chassis the first time you take it out it will look a year old anyway there like @5-10mm of the ground mines scratched to shite
 
Maybe il sell the viper shell and use the money to fund the lwb chassis and stick with the m3 gtr for now... How much you think the vipers worth? It's nearly new.. The lights are really well fitted, but not the biggest market for that size shell.
 
you say that but im sure its quite a rare shell now as its discontiued and its better to get rid while its mint than after its beaten up mate,,theres a lwb comp chassis on ebay at the mo with a few extras fitted starting at £65 and it wont go above that mate
 
Iv seen them go for 50 inc shipping... I almost bought one for the Carson but put myself of when found out all the parts I had to change to get it to fit.

Once I get the lights sorted on the viper il think about sticking it on eBay.. It's more of a show shell than a basher anyway.

Still not 100% which way I want to go with it.. Just see what comes up on eBay.
 
when i was building my project on road which i give up on and sold on,,my comp chassis cost me around £30 quid on ebay so worth keeping a look out on there
