Your engine is flooded! Keep repeating the procedure until you get all gas out.

It's normal that it easier to pull without the spark plug in. That's how it should be. If it wasn't then something other than compression is blocking / slowing the piston movement.

You are using a new spark plug, right?

**Update: 01/14/17**

Ok just would like to post an update status regarding my start up issues with both of my xb

I bought 2 NGK CMR7H spark plugs and installed them bought AMSOIL synthetic 2 stroke engine oil and some 92 octane gas (only ones they has near my area, did the 25/1 mix and fill both tanks up.
Reconnected wires and power supplies..all is working.

**Engine start up**
(Blue XB)
Followed Redcat manual guide for start up procedures: steps 3-5
-Prime bulb till fills with gas, press 3 more times
-Place choke on close position (verticle)
-Pull cord till cars tries to start

-On both vehicles it got to a point where it sounded like it was about to start to i switch choke to open position and still no fire...i repeated these step untill i eventually flooded the engines once again, took off spark plugs and again pull the cord, a little bit of gas came out from the top and on both a small amount of white smoke "puffed" out when i first pulled the cord but eventually disappeared. And there were traces of fuel on the airfilter foams as well. So now im not sure what to do anymore...should i order in a new carburetors and coil cap assembly and just replace the ones on the vehicles? Thanks in advance

I have never used the choke since new. I leave it open and pull the cord 3-4 times really slow the full length of the cord then 2 or 3 fast pulls there after and it is idling. I tried the choke when it was new and it flooded it. So I watched that OBR break i video and he suggested that method. It works even in very cold weather. Like the others have stated, go back to the stock carb settings and maybe bump up the idle a little at a time till it starts, can always turn it down when it starts. Hope you get them going man!!

Ok thanks, will try that method...its about 46• in my area right now out side and don't really feel l starting the vehicles in the kitchen (wife says so hahaha)...what are your thoughts of me getting a new carb and coil cap assembly? Should i just get them and see if that will eleviate the problem. Since im not sure if i messed up my carbs settings...i did fiddle with them even the throttle needles when i cleaned then up like an idiot. But I manage to put H and L back to stock settings but i have no idea on how to mess with the throttle needle. If i have correct or not and there arent many vidoes regarding that area.

I just checked my both of my cars and noticed that on one of them, the prime bulb is totally empty while the other is still has the fuel in it. Any thoughts?

Ya man it is hard to find any info on how to adjust the idle screw. I just turned it till i saw it starting to contact the arm and adjusted it clockwise a turn or so after. If it is too high like I said before you can back it down once it starts. But honestly if they are out of the box they should start right up. Mine did. But started easier with the NGK plug and Not using the choke.

Ok, and both of my XBs i bought used. The guy whom i brought it from lost interest on them. I payed less than $500 for both which was steal...they were running fine...engine started no issues until i went ahead and cleaned them up, and fiddled with the carb settings and idle screws on both. Went to start it up and nothing. So i been trying work on both of them at the same time. Kinda kicking myself for messing around on the carb area. I think i might just get a new carb and coil assembly so i know those parts are new and maybe some new fuel hose as well. Any suggestions on carburetor and coil assemblies? Should i get the ones from Redcat or from somewhere else?

Noticed that i have a fuel leak on one of them, fuel was all leaking from underneath carb. When i was "venting" it out.

I have a Rampage MT but similar engines. I wouldn't go replacing parts without knowing they are at fault. Especially the coil. Check for good spark and be done with that. The carb on the other hand can be your problem. I've seen guys turn the high and low needles too hard clockwise to zero. They crank the screws down. Supposed to turn till it stops slightly with a little flat head screwdriver, then counterclockwise to desired settings. I use a Walbro carb so if you change them out go Walbro. There are many threads on which may be best for your rig as I have the MT with a Zenoah engine (stock HY blew up) with the Walbro 990 carb

Just did a spark check on both of the vehicles, and thankfully i got sparks...finally something good, so no need for a new coil...lol...so i think im going to go ahead and pick up new carbs for both of them and replace the current fuels lines as well since they seem to been worn out on the end were you plug them in. both sets look worn and cracked on the edges.

Never pull more than twice with the choke on even if it doesn't sound like starting
Choke on 2 pulls then choke off and pull
 
update:

i finally got one of my XBs up and running today after a month of being dormant, will work on the other one in the morning. i got a few parts from www.rampageshop.com, Rob was awesome on assisting me with my questions as well...installed new carbs,gaskets and went ahead and changed the existing air filter...put in a new fuel mixture and did the start up routine, fired up nicely...let the car idle till about half tank and pushing throttle halfway here and there...when i went to reach out to shut it off it suddenly stalled and died...let cool down for a little and started it again, but i shut it off after a few minutes...apologize for the long intro but to the meat of my findings:
  • noticed excessive smoke when pushing throttle.
  • there were signs of liquid coming out of the exhaust, couldnt tell if it was gas or not, but i wiped off black crud from the area.
  • when throttling the car seem to "crackle or pop i guess is the best way i can describe it.
  • why did it stalled out of nowhere?
so can anyone tell me if that is normal for an engine that's been sitting for a bit, the tank was empty when i was working on it.

Sounds like it's too rich or has too much oil in the mix and is fouling the plug.
You may have to lean it off a little.
What fuel ratio are you using?
 
OBR has a video on YouTube of an easy way to clear a flooded engine and it's a lot faster than removing the spark plug.they remove the carb and then pull the rip cord.

Just give it a squirt of starter fluid through the air filter and she'll fire up and burn the excess fuel out.
If it's flooded there's plenty of oil in there so lubrication isn't a problem and you don't have to pull anything apart.
