I had typed a long explanation with pics earlier, but doing too many things at the same time with this old laptop, virtual memory error, shut down internet explorer etc... I hate windoze...

anyway. Long story short. it took a while to get all the parts to build the semi. I had to sell off the project a couple years ago but managed to get it back this summer and even though it passed around hands, nobody did anything to it other than shelf it. I am almost finished now, I just need some bling to complete it.

I bought the chassis motor and body first of a forum. Then added bits as I could. Rather than just add all stock parts, I grabbed some aluminum parts. Friends and aquaintences along the way have made some parts like the rear upper arms and the shock tower (which also came with a manual front brake adjuster that allows use of either second servo or the throttle servo to control), cyclops hooked me up with the front adjustable bulkheads for a killer deal and I made the carbon servo tray myself... I'll take a pic of the chassis as it is now and upload in a bit... I kind of fell off taking pics after I could actually drive it hehe. There's also carbon screwed to the top of the front lower arms for stiffness and a ball type swaybar mounted to the carbon (yes it has purple, I just haven't deanodized it yet... anyone knows me knows I hate purple)

a few in order as I built it up

very nice pipe hows the samba holding up?

The samba is a great performer. it had a bit of a leaking problem at the split point but I believe I have that solved now. nice sound and not loud.

me2 i have the samba on my fg mt i have the same problem im getting this leak where where the pipe is spitting from the joint how did you solve this if you don't mind me asking, btw this pipe has some power awesome stuff

p/s its leaking from where the pipe goes into to by the bent, its a v1 monster samba pipe.

It does seem like Samba have some QC issues. 18 months with my DDM Dom in my FG MT and no problems - fitted near-perfectly as well.
I'm going to give an FG tuned pipe a try as the noise is too much - for the neighbours!!

I use self hardening form a gasket. it's a brown high heat gasket maker. I use it on all my engine gaskets and also on the exhaust header bolts as loktite. I built it up a little at a time on the pipe and let it harden (it never becomes rock hard). then shoved it into the header. it was a tight fit to get in and sealed nice. just make sure the hanger mount isn't flexing.

the off road pipe might be loud but this pipe everyone thinks I have a silenced pipe. it's been custom cut. it was cut when I got it and I had to shorten the header a touch with a pipe cutter or it rubbed to tight against the body

oh and KausKaos. The alloy motor side plate showed up today. I will probably put it on this week. First I want to put new bearings in as the one is a bit chunky feeling. I have lots of bearings ;)

cheers. NOW my semi is all aluminum

Take this bike, add a windshield and rear luggage rack/backrest. Then the pic below is the bag setup that came with it. Ya I am stoked.

Well I brought the bike home last night. My riding gear isn't here so I had to use the conehead helmet to bring it home. Buddy was driving out there last night and offered me a ride. It was friggin cold but a blast. I'll post the bike pics in a sec...

well I had the bike outside today to get some work done to it, and while it was out I finished spraying Dave's Porsche so he can get it outa here lol. took these pics in his driveway. it needs a couple things touched up around the windows. I will never use pin stripe tape for masking ever again. I hate that stuff. give me the plain old green masking tape any day...dave is putting the clear coat on right now to seal the inside. the protective cover is still on. he also bought the detail kit so it's getting mirrors and such.

Ok, here's me with the goofy helmet. I put a tube touque on to keep my ears from freezing. 1988 I sold my last bike and here I am riding an unknown bike with a bit of rain happening home. In sweat pants of course.. my riding gear should be here in the morning...

got most of it cleaned up today, aside from the wheels. I took the decals off the tank and gave it a buff. has a buckle scratch pretty deep. also got the gunk off the pipe from pant leg and a melted shoe sole. I bled all over it too so it's mine

I did a road trip last week into the mountains. This has kinda taken over for the time being. I was online chatting to a buddy in Lilooet, BC. He was asking when I was finally coming back to visit. This was Wednesday night. I checked the weather network and saw hmmm 2 days with low chance of rain... yo dude. can I crash there tomorrow night? I am coming tomorrow. I took the long way as I hate straight hwy driving, way too boring. So I headed across the river and took hwy 7 all the way out until I hit the old #1 hwy, just north of Hope. I stopped in Agassis for a break and took a couple pics. I am below snowline here.

I continued along hwy 7 to just north of Hope, then went North up hwy 1 through Hell's gate etc. Some windy roads along here and really old tunnels. I had the shades on and first long tunnel curved to the right. I was doing 110kmh going in, dam all the lights were off. I heard a vehicle coming toward me but couldn't see it until I was about halfway in. Scared? oh hell ya. I was blind clawing for my face shield to rip the glasses but then I made the bend, saw his headlights then the tunnel exit and steered proper haha. clenching the butt cheeks tight... I stopped in Yale for a snack, water and to fuel the bike

I went North along hwy 1 until Lytton and I took the old hwy 12. this hwy gets washouts, rocks fall on the road but it winds up around the mountain with a long steep cliff on the other side. many places it goes down to 1 lane so you have to keep the eyes open... and I mean 1 lane for both directions. this was taken about 1/3 the way from Lytton to Lilooet. it was late afternoon and starting to get pretty cool. me having a puff on my e cig... (now 70 days without a real cigarette)

Here's Lilooet from my bud's yard. We used to both live in this trailer park here, where we met. The view from his yard is unreal. I was watching the big forest fires from last year off his webcam. their side of the river never got hit but he said fire logs dropped out of the sky many times and landed in his yard from the hill in the right hand pic... you can see it has no trees. north from there it was decimated in bc last year, big news. they fought that one for months and months.

One of my bud and his dog. The dog is huge and a character. Just try and get in that door without petting him first, he'd make a fine linebacker or or nose guard...
and one of me leaving friday

What a blast. I can't wait for the next road trip. When it warms up I am going to do the run up past Whistler, up to Pemberton and across that old hwy. Never been that way before.
