the semi and mt are getting more bling, thanks Mike at Large Scale Alloy. Rear brake kit and ball drives are going on the semi. I love the look of the brake discs through the rims and it'll take the stress of hard braking off the layshaft (ya it's more for looks for me tbh). the mt gets front brakes added as well, alloy spur carriers (2 sizes so if I run buggy or stadium truck tires) and a wack of spurs.

I can't stop buying bling. I am going to need a therapist soon. Business is booming so who cares.

well alloy brake kit, alloy knuckles, alloy spur carriers... it's all shiney so it's got to be good LOL.

spending all that money on rear brakes just so I can see brake discs through the rim?

I have to post a pic of the behemoth I polished today. it was a Pace Arrow motorhome. a bottle of glaze usually does 4-5 trucks. I used 2 bottles today and killed one dual sided buffing pad and half killed another. that buffer was in my hands for near 9 hrs. The shell was fibreglass, and had some texture so it was tough to cut in. doing that 4x4 tomorrow will hurt, but will seem like a firefly

forgot, am getting a hitec digi for steering too

I can't get my camera working. it died with the lens extended and won't charge up. I borrowed my sister's so I can take a couple pics today of the changes... I'll post some in a bit.

Here's a couple of the semi with the front brake kit installed on the rear. I also have the ball drives installed. just have to set up the brakes now on this beast for tomorrow
Moomanuk has some banana risers for me. the upper arm threaded part is a bit short so the risers will give me some thread back and should help handling.

Figured might as well post a couple of the semi being completed. the brake kits are installed now. I love the side pic showing all the discs through the rims

Here's my new pilot. I'd call him a driver but you should have seen the air the semi was getting today in the middle of the lot LOL. I hit that lip full speed a few times and it just landed and kept going each time.... hell we even did some curb climbing eh Richard?

finally got to try the new brakes. I kinda liked being able to adjust the rear brakes with a tamiya wrench without removing the tires. they worked good but my 2 speed wasn't shifting. pin was fine and I tried adjusting, different gearing etc. looks like the part that comes out and hits the pin is rounded a bit so dremmel time

Anyway, I just have to glue it in now. He holds the steering wheel. dash is fairly detailed even a tach

Now that is cool of the driver inside the cab.......I see your upper arm hit the 2spd gears
That not good....I had the same problem..I had to change the whole thing,,new alloy up rights with the slot & 2 hole for the raised arms....
Semi look great...Slawhammer

my upper rear is quite solid. it was a used gear I put on there that was allready damaged. I took that off yesterday since it was just too low being stuck in first. I was running an 18 pinion on first and a 22 on second, but needed the 18 for the mt. that was a 16 in the pic as I had no spur for the 17. ebded up with a 20 back on to run yesterday

I need the alloy rear uprights now to use the banana risers I got from moo.. I'll look at it when I get home from work. phone started ringing at 6:50 this morning so I am off to go detail a black honda civic right downtown. sure glad I crashed out early last night

and J, there are parts of the world that drive on the wrong side of the street, but just in the uk regions mostly ;)

it's an Atego Mann Truck :P

I added headlights today. I cut out the inner part where the decals went and glued some mini flashlight heads inside. once that is setup I will mount the driver in. working on the plastic body for the mt at the moment, but closer look says don't waste much time ...

I am getting a set of aluminum front bulkheads back. am going to put on my mt. it will lower the front a bit and change the angle to be more like the fg (fg bulkheads) and will move the body posts away from the pipe.

I'll have to order the elcon rear uprights to use those banana risers I got from you Moo... another day. they'll just sit in the parts boxes until I get them. I've had zero trouble with my current setup...

and I rarely use that small of a first gear in my semi. I just didn't have a 2 spd spur to match a 17 or a 19 pinion. once I swap some gears around I'll have it sorted.

I Agree with Moo, that tractor unit is spot on! Oh,I went on holiday to Greece a while back and hired a car,as you know the natives there drive on the right as you fellows do. After driving for half an hour and hearing screams of horror comming from my passenger I started to drive on the right as well ! ;).

Here's a few pics I just took. the glue finally setup so I could pop the bulbs back in. I cut out the decal part of the plastic and glued the heads of these dollar store keychain led flashlights in. I got 3 for a buck so I soldered some wires on and tested them in series on an older 5 cel sub c nmh pack. if it blew oh well. but shined nicely. so in they went. I was low on shoe goo, so I used something with some color. it'll block out any unlevel spots from the exacto knife. here's a couple unedited pics. this isn't my camera so I just used auto mostly except I turned off the flash for a pic...

I was working on mounting the driver and stuff in and realized I needed to make a dash. after consideration (and a neighbour dropping me off this chunk) going to make it out of styrofoam. I can shape it in, then cover it with some vinyl. if I do that I need to add some door panels too so it looks right. So it will take a bit to cut cardboard and glue on vinyl... I think it'll be worth the look though. the floor will go in last... I'll just cut up some thin floor matt. working through those 2 small holes is a challenge but I don't want to dismantle it. I never built the body so no idea if it has been glued or not

oh and the lights above are still removeable so I can change leds if needed
