maxamps are decent batteries especially for there price but they are not as good as enerland cells like polyquest, neu or apache ive used a datalogger thats how i know i ve had to maxamps go bad one cell dead and one got hot and went pop

Gas powered RC cars are nice because of the nose thy make and it is full up and go. But for the ultimate power nothing beats the Brushless cars. You get torque from 0 to full RPM, the RPM is like 40,000 plus. The down side is battery weight and charging time.
For example imagine the above Baja with the 8 hp 50,000-RPM motor, 5,000-map battery, and tow speed gearbox.:drool::drool::drool:

I really would love to see the vide of the FG. I am sure it will weeeeelly all day long.:clap::celebrate::drool:

I don't think the weight would be all that far off. You figure you are removing a fairly heavy engine and exhaust and much of the drive train since you no longer need the gearbox really (at least I don't think you do). A 5000MaH lipo is actually not very heavy, I run them in my 1/10 Slash electric with no problems at all.

A 5 cell nimh Rx pack for the Baja weighs 375g , the 2c 5000mAh lipo packs i have weigh 275g, so actually 100g lighter, but I think to power something this big, you would run some higher cell count lipos like a 5cell 14.4 or 18.8 lipo and at least 8000mAh, and probably 2 of them

-edit- I just looked and they run 2 packs to equal 6c 6000mAh Lipo, so probably just a bit heavier than the stock Baja Rx pack.

I would bet it comes very close in weight, but still, the price is still BIG.

I wieghed the baja before I ran it with the single battery installed. It only weighted 15lbs and change. It was a lot easier to carry from the car. The gas in the fuel tank would offset the batteries in the conversion so it basically comes down to the difference in engine weight and esc and motor weight. We are talking about 6 lbs at the least.

I still have to find a new esc, have not had time to find them . No-one in the us is carrying HARM anymore so I have to see if I can get the same esc or instructions somewhere else. The place I got it from doesn't even carry them anymore.

All the samples I have seen do use the same lay out the difference instead of fitting the pinion on an engine it is on a motor. See the pix in the first post in the thread.

Mgm Is The Way To Go For Esc's I Mean Cc Makes Great Stuff But Mgm And Schulze Are The Best Imo You'd Need Like The 16024 U Could Get Away With The 16018 If U Only Goin To Run 6s But Thats Its Limit Also If U Get A Mgm I Would Recommend The Usb Or Programming Card Its A Pain Programming Them Thru The Pistol
