Some tumble that matey :scared: How you liking the handset now you've had a few outings?

love it to bits, dead impressed with the functions and range of it,

pipe is a mess, and the rear of the roll cage needs attention, wish you could get an alloy one. like the hpi

The only way to get an alloy cage is to knock 1 up yourself. If you haven't got the skills for it, do a drawing & take it to a local fab shop & they would probably make you 1 for a reasonable price :)

i was going to make one,im looking for alloy tube joiners, like the ones that are on the fg that fit inside the alloy tube at the front of the buggy. cant find any though.

or find a way of bending 9mm tube

i won an abbate r inlet manifold for 8 quid the other day, and have seen they are 40 new, comparing inlet sizes they are significantly different, the abbate one is larger and well made, i have not yet tried it out as my baja is still awaiting parts for the roll cage and i need to fabricate an exhaust manifold, only prob with it is its blue, i need some anodising remover asap

i also bought some steel gears as i stripped 4 teeth of the big gear( dunno how) i bought 20/44, i did have to dremel down the clutch shaft as it was a different shape, strange i never heared of any problems like that.

glad to see that you treat you baby gently! looks like I have the same issue as you, rear suspension too soft, so on big bumps under power the front floats over and the back bottoms out, which kicks the nose down. I may have a go at knocking up some new spacers to save having to buy new springs or adjustable shocks.

I have a spare used roll cage if you need any parts. I've just not got around to listing the bits on fleabay. PM me if you need it (it will cost you though, I ain't a charity!).

nip over to screwfix or BnQ, and get a mini pipe bender (for 8 & 10mm pipe in the plumbing section). Alloy cage is on my to-do list as well.

i have bought new adjustable suspension now with 2000 shock oil.
i think ill get a pipe bender, just need some way of joining the rod together now, as i don't have a welder.

damn I like the look of that pipe, very nice, ill be in the market for a pipe for mine soon, will have to check it out.

yeah its pretty good, i bought it for looks more than anything, but it bent quite eaily, but can bend it back when it gets damaged.

Quite a list of damage!!
Can't you ease off a little?
I know, stupid question wasn't it? :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

ha ha i could, but i like to fix it, i think that gives me great satisfaction when i can get it going again but stronger, but this time the list is quite long and im not buying the rear wing supports in plastic again at £15 a pair, they are soooo weak, that and the brakes are the worst parts.

got some good ideas of upgrades and tinkering to do, but im due to go to new York on wednesday so its all on hold, lets hope the airports opn like they said they will tomorrow.
