I've posted a few pics of my HSP previously but thought I'd create a new thread with pics and hopefully some updates as well :)

The HSP is a Redcat with some differences. It has the square drive with plastic gears, CVD's, single servo setup, vented clutchbell, V3 chassis. It came with the TT wheels and an ugly body.

Update time!

Rubber sealed bearings from UberRC mounted on a brand new gear plate. I got it for $5 from from someone who had switched to an aluminium one.

I had to mount the belt drive to see what it would look like:

Installation underway!

Aluminium tape added to the tank and the roll cage. Dunno if it'll do any good or not but I'm hoping it will deflect some of the heat.

Thanks guys! :D

There's a vent in the gas cap but it's too small so you end up with a vacuum lock in the tank. The result being the motor cutting out :)

Got some work done on the truck

I find the radiobox a bit cramped so I digged out an extra I had from a previous project. It's from a Traxxas Stampede IIRC.

Let the chopping begin:

Romved some material to get a snug fit:

Inside:

Plasti Dipped Castle 10A Bec. This is the inside.

The reason behind the Plasti Dip is to keep the electronics free from debris and dust more than waterproofing. Time will tell if it works.
