My Idle Screw Does Nothing...

so im tryna tune my engine and its come to my knowledge then when i tighten or lossen my idle screw it does nothing... the screw is making contact with the arm but seems like not enough... this is on both my MT and DR. its barely making a difference in idle... has this happen to anyone else and also suggestions to fix this?

sounds like low needle rich, linkage trim off..

I had that problem with a stock carby

Ended up chucking it in favour of a WT990

I checked the linkages and im good. Nor am i running rich... im tryna avoid buying a new carb atm.

Your LSN also effects the idle.

If you richen it up, you will lower your idle.

If you lean it, you will raise your idle.

Exactly that point RD. Im not goona be able to find the sweet spot if i gotta use the LSN to adjust idle cause the idle screw does jack... should i be looking into a walbro carb???

I would get a Walbro, they're far more reliable.
