That is one awesome truck, so many nice little additions that make it better overall. I love it. Awesome work.

U got it dirty yet?

i like to make things a little different:)....glad you like it

as for getting it dirty check out the cleaning post LOL

but don't tell voo:clown::clown:

Hi Trebor.
Does your truck have the tubeless tyres?
What do you think of them?
I know they are ~18mm overall wider than the FG ones, but they also have a thicker 'lip' for gluing, which will compensate. Do you think these will fit FG wheels, or wheels made for FG trucks?
I've a 'few ideas' I'm playing with.
Alan.

Novelty value perhaps, but will make the truck 'bouncy' possibly.
I don't see the valves on the inside of your wheels, in your photos. Does this mean they come without valve, but glued?
Does this also mean they have inserts?
I have actually ordered a wheel, and a tyre for reference, but am in Mexico for another couple of weeks!

alan mine have inserts and no valve:clown:

Now I'm confused!
I'll wait till I return to UK.
There's an 'older' MCD tyre type basically indicated on the Forum opening screen, but all recent MCD tyres are like yours, and as I believe I purchased!
Alan.

Alan i will put a few pics on this thread when i get time as im part way

:2guns:clearing out my loft space for new insulation

so cant:no: get through garage to my workshop at moment

it looks like a battle field in my garage:clown::clown:

already have been to charity shops 4 times and the tip 3 :)

Thanks Trebor.
Those FG alloys actually look like they're 'wearing' Stadium tyres, not Monster tyres.
The inner 'bead' diameter is interesting 'though.
Thanks. I'll see what I get!
I ordered a pair of cheap white plastic FG MT wheels to 'play with' in case I had to drill holes.
At least I'll see what the fit is.
You've previously mentioned extended Elcon ball drives, axles (front) and squares. When possible can you define which please - there are several choices I see on the Elcon site (no longer available at Hobbythek)?
(In case the tyres fit without problem, but the extra width creates a problem!)
Alan.

Alan here are close up pics of the FG monster tyres on my alloys:)

as you can now see they are monster tyres :clown:

the rims are CNR and i have the optional standard centres as well as

as these:blush:as you can see on the drive side pic they are wide offset rims

Hi Keith,
Thanks for the photos.
What I'm looking at doing ... is putting the MCD monster tyres on wheels that can be mounted on my FG MT, without interrupting the disc brake operation.
For this I was interested in seeing the inner diameter of your MCD monster tyres cf the FG wheel diameter.
I don't see any wheel options on the MCD MT, but plenty on the FG.
I know the FG tyre is narrower than the MCD, but I'm hoping;
1. It's not that much narrower that the profile will be affected - overall its 18mm narrower, but the MCD bead is much more pronounced.
2. The DIAMETER of the insides of both the MCD and the FG tyres is the same.
Makes sense?
Thanks,
Alan.
