What wheels and tyres are they? as i have a mutilator also and am looking for some new wheels/tyres, cheers Dave.

yes they have foam inserts, i just got a set for mine. They are a very good price for a set from mtroniks.

New Wheels

Have you ran it with them on yet??

Found out it had a lot of grip but to much you know the grub screws that hold the SQUARE on the shaft could not cope and just spun.

first today came in mended it but rain stopped play

looks well with them on instead of others

replaced grubs

replaced grub screws for thunder tiger ones which are a bit better steel so i can tighten them up with out rounding off every thing on the car is tight every were got to take back end one day gunna be a night mare because of allen grubs being cheap

Ran mine with the new wheels and tyres today, went fine with no issues to report will head to the track sunday for a better test.

Ran at the track with the new wheels and tyres, no probs at all were your grub screws loctited? mine are and no issues so far, fingers crossed.
Now to sort the rear shocks, no travel!!

Should Imagine so they were a bit loose tightened them up they arr cheap grub screws in them mine started to round off had good half hour yesterday in rain

you had any issues with leaky shocks? thats the only minor problem im getting, hoping some fg shocks will sought that.

I can't be sure but it looks like they used the same type/size of shock the FireHammer uses?
They make a rebuild kit for the FH: Rebuild kit photo here.

You may want to thicken the shock oil up. Seems they leak slightly less with thicker oil?

I've rebuilt my Fh shocks 2 times and they still leak slightly when in use. I gave up and yes the FG shocks I have have never leaked on me. All 10 shocks.

ive got a feeling you might be right as ive dropped to a light 15w shock oil and its running out:no:.
Think fg shocks will be the way to go, will try new springs and thicker oil first though, had a feeling fh parts would be useable, thanks.

Wheel NUTS

How tight do all your fasten up your wheel nut on your buggies.
The gear side on mine keeps spinning the nut off saw my friend with his FG he swings on the NUTS like A monkey in a tree

you still got the washer on? i have not had any issues and i don't tighten them anymore than any other car.
Fitted fg marder shocks and wow what a transformation ive now got suspension:)

noodle ed....are you using nyloc's?
if you are and they keep coming off, fit it with a new one
:)

Yup, once they have been removed a few times they become loose. Best to replace them. The other thing you can do is try coating them with some removable sealant like ZAPII. Take the tip and stick it right over the shaft up to the nut. (Woh?).. And it will seal the nut to the shaft and lessen the chance of back off.

I thought those wheels would be the same size.
On one of my original wheels it seems lik only part of it has an inert unless its moved inside, so I think i'll go for the same wheels but maybe in blue.
