No, I'm not tryin ta be funny,I got this fs fer 100.00,but i herd everything would interchange from a mcd thats why i figured i could call it an mcd plus it looks jis like one thats all.

Sorry dude i didnt mean ta offend anyone,I jis didnt think anyone liked the fs,but i was wrong, boy was i wrong, but i do lov my fs.But anyway, how do they compare? I mean in yer opinion is it a real good one? thanx dude.

Not every part is interchangeable.

the FS cars are a copy of the old MCD blueline cars.
the newest MCD´s only have a few parts that fits the old blueline cars.

FS racing cars can´t be as good as an MCD. it cost half the price of a new MCD. it has a crapy Copy og the Zenoah engiens. som of them are accutaly marked wuth LENOAH.
the carbs on this things are a direct copy of the Walbro cars and is often named MALBRO.
is´t a total RIPP OFF!

a Buddy of mine has the import to Norway of MCD cars and he has had many FS owners stopping by his shop looking for spare parts. most of the customers have been comming back and bought an MCD insted. the get sick and tired of always wrenching and changing crappy plastic part.

the best og all the shops that sells FS cars her ein Norway tell their customers that this piece of poop does 80KM/H with the FS tuning pipe. it has noe chance in HELL to get that speed with that tuning pipe. the problem is that the exhaust port on the engine is square and the intake of the pipe is round. thta stops the flow out of the engine and making it run like at turtel.

hi crazy beetle
so your not fs fan then well that's cool every one is entitled to there opinion and we all know its a clone of the mcd not every one has the money to buy a mcd so they do the next best thing and me to i have 2 fs racing cars plus a fg mt im happy with them and im thinking about getting another clone and that's the rampage this is also a clone of the mcd but they went one better and they changed a few things around which is better way off going around it
that's cool to well i hope you enjoy your mcd and then we can enjoy our fs racing clones
oh and the motors are a peace of crap that's true and the electrics are junk but we all know that we will end up upgrading these cars at one time
so i think each to there own agreed

yes all i agree with you both.

from an experienced hobbiests point of view i mean crazy beetle is 100percent right,fs are never going to be anywhere near mcd.

but from a first time newbie to 1/5th scale sure isnt it a great cheap starting package, and as you say when upgraded with a few simple mods could be as good as most.

its a reasonable price for a starting point of view,i think as you are new to the hobby you made a good choice cause this is a time when most crashes and damage is done so its not much money wasted.

its a learning process and the fs looks good too for the price.
best of luck.

thank you Dc2 Man thats more support I'm lookin fer. Some people don't know how to support newbies, thanx again.

The FS cars a cheao alright but in the long run buying an MCD right away will be a lot cheaper.

MCD have a much hihger quality on their cars and parts and that will sve you a lot of money in the long run. infact you will probobliy save in the extra cost of an MCD the first season you own the car.

i have a lot of friends driving MCD cars and the do just that drive and drive and drive. www.rc-racing.no have had a lot of FS owners dropping by to buy parts and they come often to get even more parts. until now 4 guys have sold of their FS cars and bought MCD instead, and all of them has saved a lot of money on that move.

Cheap can be expencive thatswhat i will get to here.

but we live in e free world and anybody have theri right t do what they want.
i just give my advice from what i have experienced for thelast 2 years fooling around whit Large Scale cars.

Thanks sickboy!!!!!! Some of us wants to get driving, and the best way is to buy cheap and upgrade later. I bought a TQ 2wd truck and that is cheap if you want cheap, not to talk bad about them but it is aimed at the beginner and beginners will buy them. My TQ is being upgraded to be a full aluminium jobby exept the fuel tank and the total cost is about 367$. That is all the material and designing and machining. That gives me a total of 884$.
My saying is buy cheap and upgrade later. Get driving and get to know your car and then upgrade.

Thats wat i'm talkin about thanx fer sayin that jansen1 ur the kinda guys i lik talki to on here.thanx again.

well just a bit off news for all fs owners this straight form the horses mouth lol
and a freind of mine
Conrad Electronics sold over 1.000 pieces
of Carbon Figters in only one month ! A few people here in Germany are milling some
tuning parts for their car´s. Lauterbacher in Germany will make tuning diffs for FS cars.
Conrad also sells the FS MT and the FS Onroad Car in middle of the year 2009
under the names : Carbon Breaker ( FS MT ) and Carbon Racer ( FS Onroad Car ).
The Carbon Breaker is a little bit cheaper as the FS MT with other tires ...
So we will have to wait a little time ... FS sold more cars in a short time than any other
RC Car Factory for Giant Scale Car´s. The Carbon Fighter is a very good low budget RC Car,
without 4 WD - price is 299 € with 4 WD - kit 428 €. I didn´t know a other 4 WD RC Car
for a lower price ...

For prices of alloy part´s, please mail me. There are many requests for FS alloy parts.

Hey anyone out there no where i can git a steering servo fer my fs?lmk thanx

Check out DDM a sponsor on here. Plus 5% off if you order online and mention LargeScaleForums or LSF in the discount box. What is your budget for the servo? A Hitec 805bb is like 35-45 bucks and a hitech 5745 digital is around 100... The 5745 won't break nearly as easily, because it has metal gears. The 805 has plastic gears. it has slightly more torque than the 5745 but it is slower.

Just ask us, that's what we are here for,
Trip..
