Very nice, keep us updated on the car.
A word of advice though. If you are running on sand or in dusty conditions I would recommend you get a better air filter or/and use an Outerwears cover.
Keep up the good work .

I have another air filter for dirt. I have that one for tarmac and turf which will be the majority of my runnings. I am definitely hurting for areas to run around me. I will post pics when done

So far: Darksoul V3 bones, drive cups and boots, TR clutch, TR top plate, TR quick diff, HPI SS alloy diff, killer bee kill switch, ported/ polished WT771 carb, Snappy RC fuel kit, TR one piece brake, D's brakes, Hostile one piece alloy rear hubs, NGK spark plug, alloy gas cap, air filter, Dual silenced exhaust.

In the near future: New servos( as they go out), Yamadude throttle linkage,

I don't plan on it very soon but, a new motor. We will see how long it lasts. What I have been reading here they last 2-5 tanks. I have spent enough so, I hope I get a decent life out of it.

OZ, is this a complete gound up build? Whats the engine size? don't be scared of the KM motors, mine lasted 2 gallons (probably more but I wanted more power) before I added the 28.5 kit, it is all about how you run it/maintain it. Nothing wrong with running a little extra oil, better foul a plug than to smoke the cylinder. I run mine at 24:1

KM quality has come a loooong way in the last year. They are gettign alot better than they used to be, I FINALLY broke a clutch spring after 3 gallons, maybe it was the added power of the 28.5 kit, who knows, anyways, DDM 7500 spring will be here this week along with an extra clutch (stock clutch is still OK).

Its not a ground up build. I got it new as an RTR from ebay. I stalked the forums for the weak links that people were having on the KM's. I just beefed up the drive train mainly. I will be putting a much stronger motor in later, likely a full mod OBR. I now have the drive train for it. Modding is a slippery slope...once you start you cant stop!!:w00t:

You can stop, quit your job, no money for parts. LOL I know what you mean. I try to limit myself on what I spend on the Baja but its hard. $100 on the EMaxx or Revo would buy me alot of stuff, $100 on the Baja buys 1 maybe 2 parts. LOL

One thing you may want to look into upgrading is the spur gear holder. The metal insert in mine let loose from the plastic on my 5th tank. I put the actual HPI part in and haven't had a problem since.

i replaced mine with a all metal version clutch bearing holder, same 3 point arms as stock, but all metal, no plastic. and it also upgraded by doing this from stocks smaller bearing to the ovrsized larger TFE bearing

Looks FANTASTIC mate.

Just one thing, change the filter or you'll stuff the engine.

K&N / K&N style filters may permit more air in, but they permit more everything in - don't go into dust clouds until you do.

Al.

Looks good bro, gotta love those silencers :) job well done

Like to see a vid of it running

nice carnage ahahah heres mine of my second day out .... broke the chassis, and all the plastic bulk head stuff up front and a rim, the shock tower braces are bent .... mangled the front bumper but got the front bumper straight again... just waiting on the $$$ for the parts and my upgrades i want... a bunch of stuff
