Just thought i'd show you my new wheels. :)

Got them of ebay for £40 brand new (bargain if you ask me).
Took a bit of man power to put together but after a long soak in boiling water they went on.
They were supposed to have the tractor tyres but i asked for the stud version instead as Voo2Doo had the tractor tyres with his purchase and they had no grip on grass, these do i can tell you my back garden is chewed to bits after a short blast this afternoon. :clown::clown:

The turning response is much better than the MT wheels/tyres but i'll need to down size the gearing now as i'll prob lose top end due the size difference.

This is what i did too mate, i found i liked the handling alot better and i think it looks better too.

Nice set of wheels and tyres guys,
I changed mine early this year, as Big E says chewing up the green stuff is much more fun with the smaller tyres on.

I went for the Wider Baja wheel combo, i can power slide this around all day lol

Here's a quick vid of my MT with the new rims on.

Just as i thought, i've lost some top end speed.
Lost the throttle screw on that last run, so had to return to base.

Think i'll turn the ABS on next time, might stop from turning overturning, or my even take off a shock from each corner.

What do you think??

Jackobyte,
I think the loss of speed may be due to the tire diameter being higher. Also maybe the spikes give it more resistance..

I took a shock off each corner, found it to be too soft, my body (beetle body with under tray) kept rubbing on the rear wheels under hard accelaration, and the front wheels rubbed on landings.

I put all 4 shocks on and took off the sway bars, much better responce, although can still be tricky on fast corners. Im looking to get slightly softer springs at some stage.

Nice Vid, plenty of open ground :-)

Hey Ian ,I had EXACTLY the same tyres as them in my mancave not so long ago!!!!

You're right Voo you "HAD" the same, now you have step studs in exchange :clown::clown:

Think i'll try it without the sways Streetwise, cheers.

Will have to see how it jumps now.
Sorry Vid wasn't too good but its hard when you're on your lonesome.:boat:

Have you changed out the shock oil to 40-60?
