Hi!

I installed my new Samba today (couldn`t wait any longer for the RN pipe that I ordered in January) and all I can say is WOW! What a difference, especially at the low revs. Much better respons. It`s like a new car. Here is some pictures:

Yeah, it is like a totally new Truck :) No lag in the power, it just comes att all revs now!

Regarding the drive train modificationes, I haven`t done any. What do you recommend?

What do you recommend?

Get these:
Alloy diff cage:

AMS high-grade steel differential protector:
http://www.pythonmotorsports.com/fg/offroad_parts/fg_truck_parts/hop_up/truck_hopup.html
Its a good idea to change out the pinion to alloy and many like myself run the spur alloy as well - Can be seen on same page on Python.
The alloy motor mounts are a good idea but since the MT has the two bolts holding the motor on the side plates it does not move as much as the buggies - Still a good upgrade in the future. On same page again.
And then there is brakes......:)

Ok, but I already have a differential protection. I will give you a picture of it in a while.

Just a personal note on my part. I have a Firehammer w/ an O'neill Bros. 29cc.
I tried 3 pipes on it. JP,FG and samba.
In my rig the Samba did'nt have the balls like the JP or the FG, it was the quietest of the bunch and the most tame. The JP worked well mid and really great on the top. The FG has great bottom/mid and very good on the top. I was really disappointed about the Samba and tried a bunch of different carb settings. I know their on-road pipes are great, but the one for my FH was a disappointment. It may make more of a difference in a 23cc or 26cc eng. but in my 29cc I was'nt impressed. I kept the FG pipe and sold the JP and the Samba.

I had a Samba on my Marder and MT. It was the older version and felt like a 2speed was in there. Not sure if you can get the old one anymore. It had a bigger pipe and the header was shorter.
