A few quotes....From EVO website.

If you’re a Q-car purist, you’ll regard the MPS as a masterpiece of deception, for beneath its Clark Kent exterior sits a turbocharged 256bhp, 280lb ft engine, a six-speed gearbox and an all-wheel-drive chassis. there’s no denying its specs appeal. Mazda’s first direct-injection petrol engine, the blown 2.3-litre four-cylinder is potent enough to power the MPS to 60mph in less than 6.5sec and on to a serious 149mph. A clever four-wheel-drive system – which works as front-wheel drive until its sophisticated raft of sensors detect help is needed from the rear – can send as much as 50 per cent of drive to the back, as well as switching between Normal, Sport and Stability programs without you knowing – or feeling, for that matter.

Further proof that Mazda is serious about its MPS brand can be found in the fact that the bodyshell has over 50 per cent more torsional rigidity than the standard 6, which in turn has enabled Mazda’s engineers to fit thicker anti-roll bars and suspension that’s stiffer by some 25 per cent at the front and 26 per cent at the rear.

Very nice Voo :cool2: Does it use the Mondeo chassis or is that the 3 sharing with the focus?? I know there is a link with 1 of em but cant remember which!! Regardless, its a class motor and Mazda's are pretty well engineered so should serve you well.

You need to get that back to the dealer, the steering wheel and the pedals is on the wrong side! Kidding a side, thats one great car! :) :)

nice car, nice power,BUT....lol sorry this is just my opinion here,it's got loads of potential, lots of power,it's just a shame they built is so heavy, the stock '6' is a heavy car and sluggish, this one has the power but sounds like more extra weight added again with all the goodies, mazda should have left some of the greater comforts off and made it a real sports car (lighter)

anyway,best regards!

Its more along the lines of the Audi S4 than Impreza / Evo, reserved looks and plenty of power but with creature comforts rather than out and out hooligan!!

Dope I wanted a speed6 so bad but they where hard to find in the states in good condition with low miles. So I ended up with a gen2 speed3 I'm not mad tho. The car is a blast to drive.

How's the car running Voo? Have you given it the beans yet :w00t:

Yes mate,it runs out of steam in the revs range before my ST used to butnits the way it gets there. The four wheel drive makes a hell of a difference in the handling and because its so quiet. you. need to look at the speedo every now and again. It is bloody quick th
though.
Had a few kids in corsas at the lights reving the plums out of their one litres but you let them goAs said, ill wait for the real cars and see what it can do then
J;)
