Itd be way better with a Hemi stuffed down in there!

Seriously though sweet lookin ride man. Cant wait to see it when shes done!

Thanks, i bought the truck a couple years ago from my boss ,it had been sitting in his yard for 12 years. It had a tree growing up under the hood, had a 67 327 in it. was a rust bucket but it was complete.Took three trucks to get to this point. Here are a couple pics of it when i started

Thats really cool. Youre very lucky. That garage looks like great space to build a truck. I asked my wife about a week ago if I gave up RC if I could build a mustang and she got excited and said yes. My problem is I chose RC to keep from spending 20k on a fox build + insurance, tags, gas, etc. etc. It would be a 4+ year prject. My other problem is when I focus on something thats all I focus on. So instead of rc 24/7 it would be garage, car, build 24/7. She thinks I would have more free time but I don't think it works that way. In any case youre lucky to have both!

Wow what a waist puttin a chevy drive train in that pick up. You know they're not worth as much when you do that. I watch barret jackson and a Ford powered by Ford is worth much more. All I can say is nice body.

Thats SWEET!!!!!! I am with Obeast on the Hemi.

I did the hotrod gig when I was younger. Would not mind doing another but finding a vehicle that is worth building is 1. hard to find in Florida and 2. everyone thinks that pile of rust and bolts in thier back yard is made of gold.

Sure do miss my '64 Malibu SS though.

I agree twisted! About 10 years ago I saw a '72 Cuda in a field with a tree growing through the engine bay, no motor(obviously) no transmission, no hood, no trunk lid, no doors, and zero interior. Not to mention some serious dents and rust. Woulda been a perfect build it my way project car, unfortunately the guy asked me $7500 for it

I proceeded to ask if it was maybe a hemi car, a 4 speed car, an ARR....anything to make the VIN # worth that much....nope. It was a small block automatic car. Needless to say I gave the guy a good chuckle, offered him $1500 for it and left. Ironically about a year later that tree fell on it and its still sitting there.

I think if I were to start a new one I would just buy a camaro or nova body from year one. start out fresh and new with no rust to deal with. I made a few offers on a couple pasture puppies last year, must have been the cow dung on them that made them worth so much, passed on them both and one was a "57 chevy two door. Problem was there was literally no floor pan left in the car, no engine or drive train and the guy still wanted 4000 for it:confused:. I spit coke out my nose when he said that and almost gave him a twenty just for his comedic efforts!

Sweet project ! I'm kinda' a Hemi guy myself too. I guess those years at the MOPAR dealers helped that a bit. It would definitley look good with either one of these stuffed in there.

i love any old truck,i would love to find an old reo cab and build one or a cab over on a half ton chassis bagged and draggin the ground. There was couple on ebay last year that were sick.a 49 ford and a gmc cabover with custom beds laid out, just sick

The symbol on the vehicle is meaningless on the pre 70s... Ford, Dodge, GM, all very nice worthy classics.

buddy has a 51 studebaker champion business coupe custom deluxe sittin in the woods. There is also a rambler wagon sitting next to it... wouldn't mind restoring them, but cash is hard to come by these days.

I detailed a 29 ford with a chev engine for the world of wheels car show. it took second place. we lost because it's a daily driver and the winner was a trailer queen. I love the truck. if it makes you happy then that's all that matters.
