built this recently, a kit from tamiya! ..bring back memories from my younger years with Tamiya's, my 1st RC i think was a Hotshot II!
I built this with brushless setup:
Hobbywing Max 10 ESC + 3300KV G3 motor, im running a spektrum 5000 50c pack which fits in nicely! Upgrades ive done are custom radio tray, ally shocks, ball bearings throughout, rear spoiler, steel pinion, also picked up some ally front ally hubs & hexes with built in bearing so i can use hex on front (stock is bearing only with no hex!) this will allow a much bigger choice of rims etc.
Ive also made a start on the front lights fitting LED's to them, this thing is nuts! great fun, i was a little worried incase 3s would be too much for the gearbox etc, but so far touch wood held up great, had a few tumbles and nothing broke (touch wood!!) for the size of it, its very nippy! Here's a vid of its 1st outing, ive since sprayed the shell & added monster tires as seen in pics!
