well on my 2nd tank 2 weeks ago i bent my chassis from jumping and landing on cartwheels..i fixed that..today,my 1st tank screws on the steering link fell off..luckily i noticed right away before i bent the shiznit!then i found that the e clip holding the front rod is gone too..as of now i have no complains,i also used baja 5t wheels set up..and it ran better than running all 5b rears ..and this is in loose clay\sand mixture.it just needs a stronger engine ..can it handle a zen27.2?i wanna switch my engine to at least a 26 but my engine mount screw is too tight and i think i stripped one already..

so far i finished 2 tanks and i got no issues aside from that.im happy with it..as long as the stuff i break are minor! hehe

All I can say is Brace your chassis . Some have done it with common hardware store metal and a drill inexpensively , but get it braced soon.

Glad to see some patience with it and someone enjoying this truck. I like it for a 4WD that rocks under $1000

i was taking it easy on jumps now ,i learned the hardway hehe..whats a good low to mid range gear combo ?i want more punch from the starting line..i think i have 29\31?i forgot but i theyre the speed gears..i was running with 2 5b's loaded with 27.2 and vrc side pipe..will that pipe work on the redcat?

it'll handle a 27.2 easy enough, it handles my onb 30.5...but expect stuff to break even with a stock motor...these and all other makes of 1/5 will break...just the nature of the hobby..harder you drive the more it costs you
I agree with Moo 100%.... I have the ONB race ported 30.5 with the tall maifold and 813 carb and 29/31 gears it fly's off the start. But will brake stuff easy if I am not careful when landing off a 15 foot distance jump 5 to 8 foot up in the air. I don't think much would hold up to that time after time for a 30 to 45 min run. :D :D
