Back around late February I purchased a KSRC-002 Buggy 30.5cc (2 Speed Installed), and a KSRC-001 Baja Buggy 23cc. Now both buggies were run limited at 30% throttle very gently for the first 3 tanks of fuel to make sure a proper break in period was done. After the break in the KSRC-001 Baja Buggy 23cc continues to perform as expected without any issues. With that being said the KSRC-002 Buggy 30.5cc (2 Speed Installed) has been one problem after another. Break in went perfectly smooth, within a couple minutes of running at 100% throttle the one way bearing went south on the two speed. Dan of King Motor RC (Who by the way is great with customer service) sent out a replacement free of charge. I was quite excited to get the new one way bearing installed got my buggy out and running and within 10 minutes of running the steering servo went out. Fine I pick up a hitec 805MG had to build a custom mount because KM uses and oddball size servo. I get the servo replaced and all seems good, we get out and running again. 10 minutes into running the one way bearing in the two speed goes out AGAIN! My frustration level at this point is getting quite high. I send Dan an email and ask him what it's going to take to convert to a single speed. Another $50 I have to spend on this buggy. So for the time being I lock 2nd gear in so it can still be driven, it works alright just a bit sluggish out of the box. This afternoon I pull my buggy out to go rip it up first pull and my pull start strips out.
At this point I am done with this garbage baja, I have run a total of 4.5 tanks through this thing and 3 of those tanks were during break in. I think I am going to cut my losses throw this pile of junk on ebay and buy an HPI. Perhaps when I cool down I will change my mind but right this moment I am frustrated and done with this worthless junk.
My final thoughts with these buggies, spend the extra money and buy an HPI I wish I had done that instead of dealing with the frustration I have with the KSRC-002 Buggy 30.5cc (2 Speed Installed) huge waste of time and money. I am not a happy camper.
