need advice on plastics

Hey all. I am working on a body build project and have come to point of making the canopy glass. I have some clear plastic from a bubble pack that I am going to use. I would like to give the clear plastic a "smoked" appearance. Kind of like window tinting. Does anyone know how to do this? I am open to any ideas. Thanks.

window tint film from an auto supplier or as above spray tints..from models shops or also used to tint light lenses from auto shops
 
Tamiya have a tint spray as well.
I would recommend having a practice on some waste material before hand.
Basically the more layers, the darker / thicker the effect, and less transparent.
You must make sure it's nicely prepared first, to avoid streaks.

Thanks to all. I will check and see if I can get this stuff online. My local HS does mostly planes and doesn't carry alot of stuff like this. The paints he carries are for monokote and the like. New update on the Light Runner shell coming soon. :w00t:
