hi all I have a km 30.5 cc buggy and I have had nothing but trouble with the gearbox leaking fluid. the first plastic box ran out of fluid on the first run after checking everything that in turn caused the rubber boots to get hot and melt the plastic around them so that ruined that casing. the second one I just couldn't get the rubber boots to seal against the bearing and the casing so that one came out of the buggy. the third box I brought was an integy alloy case new rubber boots and new fluid for the box, I have put it all together the rubber boots fit over the output shafts but do not seal against the gearbox casing so on the first quick run it is now leaking fluid again I am so tired of the problems I am having with this buggy its one thing after another can anyone suggest how I can fix this problem ? any help would be greatly appreciated cheers Rick.

Personally I always look at new threads for that reason, to see if I can help.

If I cannot, which in this case is true as I'm not familiar with the model, I leave it for those who may have encountered the problem and have the same model.

Glad to hear that you are making progress.

thank you for your replies there was oil in my gearbox when I got it so I just naturally thought that it was needed , if it isn't that solves all of my problems

If you are running an alloy diff case this will cure it as the plastic ones are crap. The oil has leaked out of the diff case and into the box where it shouldn't be.As for the boots not sealing, they shouldn't do.These are just for keeping muck from the bearings.
here is a link to the HPI manual, you should find what you are looking for there.
